looking at Diabetes Sales Specialist position. I see they promote Bydureon and Farxiga but how exactly is this job set up? Job descripiton mentions working with Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist position. Is this an overly position? Territory has big geography.
Re: Diabetes Sales Specialty Fact: Diabetes division in a much safer spot vs most any other division within AZ.
From Medi here, some of us have considered looking at spots in diabetes but can't fathom idea of being one of several reps calling on same office for same thing to do nothing more that deliver a canned promo message a week after someone else just did same thing. How can a rep take ownership of their business, or a business relationship with a customer if competing against fellow reps from same company? Never worked in a pod or whatever it's called now,but it sounds bass ackwards.
no no...wait that's my job. except now I have to figure out some way to make a buck in bonus selling against my own team to find a script in this ridiculously glutted marketplace. writing is on the wall.....there isn't going to be bonus for a poor Byd rep
The company placed what they consider their absolute best reps in the Injectable job. If the oral reps are making money, I guarantee the Bydureon reps will be just fine. Unfortunately, the company also decided to reduce the headcount selling Bydureon, just as 2 more competitors come into the market. Strategically, not a smart move. But things will be shaken up again, as we know, if performance down.
Go for it. It's obvious that there will not be layoffs anytime soon. Especially with the diabetes and cv teams. There is no point of diminishing returns at AZ instead it's all about share of voice. Salary, benefits and culture is good. If you don't mind working as part of a large team, go for it.
