Another company called AZ to confirm dates of employment, AZ told the company that they WOULD NOT re-hire employee! AZ employee did not get fired, they resigned. Has this happened to anyone who has left this shithole? Does AZ have a policy regarding what info they can and can't give out on a former or current employee?

legally, they are only supposed to confirm dates worked. nothing else. dsms and others say to their non favorite reps that they cannot give references, yet, look on linkedin and see all the az people writing each other recommendations for each other.

I saw that. Heard they (HR) can tell a potential employer if they would or would not re-hire you. In addition if you were fired, they will tell the potential employer that this AZ former employee was terminated. What if you took a mutual consent??

Contrary to the previous post, they can't say you were terminated, that's illegal. They can tell the person whether or not you are eligible for rehire, most people have stopped asking this because a lot of companies list you as ineligible for rehire if you leave of your own choosing.

AZ would never take a legal risk by revealing information about a previous employee. Why would they do that anyway? What would they have to gain by helping another company particularly a competitor? If you were the worst employee ever they will reveal the same information. They confirm that you worked here and the dates. That is it. End of story.

Are you certain that AZ will not tell potential employer that they would not rehire employee if they were terminated from AZ?

Do not give them your manager's name, only the main phone in Wilm. Your DSM or RSD can say anything they want and in the paranoid and dishonest environment that is sales at AZ they will likely say bad things about you. Like everything else this collection of babbling idiots touches it will hurt you.
Instead of listing AZ as your former employer, put LEPROSY as your most recent job experience and you will be better off.

AZ not longer does emplyment checks, due to liability. They have a third party company do it now. If someone calls AZ to check employment they will get referred to the third party company. This company, once again due to legal issue, is only alloud to confirm dates of employment, and verify salary, nothing else, they do not have ability to say if you are able to be rehired. AZ does not give this company any more onfo other then employment dates and salary.

I am so very glad that all they can say is start and end dates! There are so many of us that really never worked the job we were paid for, would NEVER have been hired if not for the giant expansions of the 2000 time frame, and then were finally fired for incompetence, not working and really bad sales numbers.

So thank goodness we can use the system again to cover our worthless asses and fool another company into hiring us. Of course they will eventually find out that we have no work ethic and are basically just stupid, lazy fuck ups. But at least we can get some easy money in the mean time. When we do get fired again we can blame the DM, company, territory, products, or whatever!

If you ever had any experience dealing with our current HR department then you would know that AZ would never allow one of those incompetent bitches give out subjective information about previous employees. They will allow them to harrass and discriminate against current employees but never ex employees. What does that say about the culture at AZ?

or maybe your numbers were good but a shitty manager got rid of you because you questioned his lack of ability lol

Yeah right, like a DSM is going to fire someone working hard with great numbers. Hey dumb shit they make more money than when your numbers suck so they want to keep you around. More likely is the fact that you thought your pathetic numbers were good, you're whiny, uncoachable and a cancer to the rest of the district.

That is why your dumb ass was canned moron, everyone else knows it but you have to tell yourself it was the mean 'ol DM's fault that you're unemployed and a complete fuck up loser.

Sounds as if they called a former manager not AZ HR. No one but HR is supposed to give references but that doesnt mean that it doesnt happen. And HR outsoutces even that responsibility!!

Has anyone ever used a professional background check agency? One that does all due dilligence that a potential employer would do such as credit and criminal record check and calling all references and past employers etc..

How about driving records?? Does AZ have a maximum point policy to hire? Can you have a few mistakes or not?? I don't have any Dui's....just a few minor violations that took place last year??? And forgot to pay a ticket....stupid mistake, but my DL was suspended for a couple days until I paid the tix. Honest answers please.

HONESTLY - you are an idiot!
In a sales job that requires that you drive - and you "forgot" to pay the ticket.
No wonder pharma reps have gotten such a bad reputation.

FYI - former pharma, left due to an upcoming merger for opportunity in another industry all together - really selling and loving it - yes and making more $$ with great bennies. The jobs are out there for qualified candidates.

re: salary check..during the new job search...remember to negotiate your 'compensation=salary, company car, gas, maintenance, bonus, vacation time, benefits etc..' don't be whittled down to haggling just over salary..that ain't the real number you want.

An employer can not say you were "terminated" They can only say you were employed on specific dates. If you believe your employer is using other terminology that negatively effects your employment with a different company you may have grounds to sue the former employer.
