No one wants to hear another rumor or stupid guess. Unless you know something real, why come up with a bunch of scenerios that you pull out of your ass?!
The same % of reps are being whacked, as about an equal # of C3 will transition to C1 as will remain to sell Chantix. Didn't you even bother to listen or look at the colorful pictures?
Well cluster 3 has chantix only??? With 100 reps they (most) will be living in hotels. I believe from past experience that this is a house cleaning. All clusters Womens health included as Duavee is not doing what was thought it would be doing will be effected. Why do you think they filled all the promoted positions (with the best reps or as they thought best reps.) before they anounced this?? Pfizer is not done yet. Wait till Pfizer buys AZ or whoever they buy. Thats when the s*** will hit the fan.
If the AZ deal goes through, the UK govt is protecting UK jobs. The US will get whacked. The Eliquis reps are protected via the contract, but everybody else is fair game. First the company put foreigners in charge. Then they attacked constitutional rights (Keloe decision in SCOTUS). Now the company wants to flee the US for the UK (ironic twist from when the Beatles & Stones became UK tax exiles). And more jobs will be lost domestically. And to thnk this company used to be comprised of ex-military (from Pratt & Steere & BJ down to the new hires in sales) ... Now the foreigners conquest is nearly complete.
It's hard to believe what has happened to this company. From the jewel of a corporation to a desperate shell of itself needing mergers to survive. Ian is looking to break it up further to add shareholder value. In 5-10 years it will probably be gone like so many of the companies they have taken over. Poor (greedy) management strikes once again.
I understand wanting to increase shareholder value, that's the CEO's job. But to think Obama and his minions won't seek revenge for attempting to flee the high-tax Marxist nanny state is simply short sighted and potentially very damaging to the company in the long term. If Obama can't get his hands on 35% of Pfizer's net, he may just instruct the FDA to sit on PFE NDAs. Heck if he'll sic the IRS on political rivals, he'll have no reservations of using whatever federal power he can muster (constitutional or not) to punish "evil" drug companies that won't render unto Caesar.
The state of things is pretty bad. Pfizer needs to return to sanity. Of course, the whole world has lost its sanity. Pfizer is lost and needs to find its way. Maybe. Other companies are struggling mightily. Maybe this is a death spiral and there is no recovery, ever.
Is this the company culture? If so, no wonder nobody wants to work for Pfizer. Good luck in the global market. Geez...a bunch of RW NUTS, that hate everybody that's not just like me, "whine"
