Just out of curiosity, how many people were hoping the cuts were more robust?
    (Secretly wishing to be cut?)

Every rep who resigned when I was a DM was paid to his resignation date. Not sure if that is true today, but that was the case up to a few years ago. My advice is to get the F out if you have the opportunity. Life is too short to have Pfizer shorten it with their aggravating BS/stress. Good luck.

You do realize the phr1 rep in cluster one sales their regular products to pcp and Toviaz/Viagra to uro's only. It is the same rep not 2 different reps. C3 is toast.

Where do your numbers come from? My understanding was C3 has 245 positions, 35 open and will be reduced to 100. So your estimate reflects very few job loses to C1.

Approx 100 PHRs selling Chantix to ACOs and large groups (and whomever else makes sense). Currently there are around 80-90 C3 DSRs who call on URO only (primarily). By my calculation, if you shrink down the C3 districts (and enlarge the C1 districts) you'll probably need at least 100-125 reps nationwide to just call on the UROs (1-2 calls month) for the portfolio. You want more calls than that you'll need more reps calling on them.

So while the losses won't be huge, it probably means a demotion to PHR for many of the C3 DSRs, which will severely limt their ability to ever get another merit increase (as they would be at the top or over the top of the PHR pay window).

The people getting screwed the hardest are C3 DMs. They already had to compete with all f the other CV DMs 2 years ago and survived massive cuts. To make them compete with C1 DMs who have yet to go through similar cuts is just plain wrong. But the people making these decisions don't care or are just to effing stupid to do the math. I hope all of the C3 DMs go to work for Astellas or Lilly and kick a$$.

How about when we told Cardiologists that we were "No Longer" doing research or entering the cardiovascular space after Lipitor!

Oooops, we forgot we have to sell you guys Eliquis don't we?

We were told this "New Sales Model" will help sustain us WELL into the future with Pfizer.

What happens when Viagra goes generic in 2017 and we lose 50% Cluster 1 Revenue then?

Oooops, We forgot Viagra will soon go generic.

Seriously. . . . We better buy or get a Billion Dollar baby soon (2yrs) or we will be right back in this same spot in late 2016 for FFO #7, 8 or 9 - I cant even remember at this point

Cluster 3 territory are increasing their size due to loss of orthos. Less territories, fewer reps in those spots with tons of competition. Pfizer should be ashamed of what they are doing to C3 DM, very sad. Great talent will be lost.

They could have told C3 reps to look around, but there was a concern that the company might lose a couple Rx. The decision was made to value a couple hundred dollars (of Rx) over the careers of over 200 people.

In addition. It was decided it was more cost-effective to cut older reps and just hire new ones when we get product approvals in 3 or 5 or 7 or 10 years. C3 reps and managers had the highest average age and median salaries of any cluster, so the decision was made to dump them and bring on new hires at low salaries.

Don't know about the rest of my pre 2013 C2 peeps, but once HQ gave us the C2, C3, and C4 assignments the hand writing was on the wall. If you got slotted in C3 you knew you had to start looking at over divisions. No one in management needed to tell you. Viagra LOE in 2017 and Toviaz is a dog (not reps fault). As a side note, the Toviaz market lead at launch should be dropped in the middle of ISIS HQ if you has me. Still remember that turd's face. "$4 for every Rx on top of your bonus!" That fucking liar!

Not true at all - Viagra is one of the 3 revenue generators and it still has 3 years till LOE. C3 is just getting a f_ck job because... Well because. There is no good reason. C3 INCREASED V sales ALL BY THEMSELVES in 2013 (w/ only 245 reps). This year even T is making quota with 10% of the reps that were selling it 2 years ago.

C1 needs to be culled. They got a 2-year free pass, now it's time to pay the piper. C3 is dragged into this after already surviving a 50% cut (>60% for managers). Just a classic Goober f_ck job. Not sure if he ok'd this out of spite or stupidity - you can't ever tell with that mouth-breathing, bible-thumping r*****.

Bye bye c3,and some others. Nobody interested in the patch for treating arthritis when they can have generic Celebrex.
Drs already reading into this strategy.
