Sept Lay-Offs

I just got a call yesterday from a recruiter about an acute care sales position. what is happening here? RIF? Hiring? total confusion?

 

A little birdie told me that it will be October 1 or 2.

 

I heard that this is happening tomorrow morning.

 

Abbott like most big pharma companies will play the game up until the shoe drops. All for appearances: they want no one to have any idea of what is about to happen. Word would spread like wildfire if they did anything to slow down anything, like hiring, national meetings, etc. On hiring, HR will drag their feet in offer letters at the vey end, and delay process a little.

 

It will happen this week. Just like last year before the Q3 announcement.

 

Layoffs are on there way...

I agree that it's preparing to be sold. No investment, layoffs,minimizing liabilities, operationally bare bones and dysfunctional.
