Report it? Why? Who is going to do something about it? This is what ITLT wants. Customer gets what he wants and without coming from the IT budget.

And we end up with 200 different systems all doing the same things all built and paid for by different customers with zero integration, no support aside from $400/hr Accenture consultants, and all our data looked up in proprietary databases.

Good job Dave. This is the most perfect model of what an IT org should not be I have ever seen.

Remember all the talk from Dave about stopping the business areas from building their own systems? When asked how we are going to stop it, the cheerleader says well why would the business areas would ever want to do that? Hello? When the IT organization is as screwed up as ours what are the bus customers going to do? Whatever they please. And our Dave doesnt even have enough influence or balls to stop the nonsense where it needs to happen. At the top. Top Commercial management will tell him to go pound it. And who does he put in to face off with them? The Cheerleader??? The wisdom there is just baffling. Dave is either a doormat or he is laying low to not face off with other leads because he doesnt have what it takes. They would chew him up and spit him out.

Why do you need people like Dave with his fancy title and huge salary if you are going to pay Accenture to do the work? That in itself is duplication of costs and effort.

I'm loving the IT Transformation programme. Leadership fresh from delivering the crap that was Emerald and programme managers who are the kings of not delivering / de-scoping or ignoring any governance.

And we can get someone in India to do your job for 1/4 the salary. So why do we need a high paid clown like you?

Nice come back, Dave. THIS is why they pay him so much.

Program Managers? What a laugh! They can't even manage to find their own ass. They deliver nothing but overpriced junk that is obsolete before its delivered.

They are still years behind. It's doubtful they will ever catch up but they are running the place. Brits have too much arrogance to do what is right instead of what benefits them.

Hes over with KS in GCE working for JMc. You know, that shadow IT group completely staffed by Accenture that have no ethics or regard for how we are to get work done. The cowboys just moved over there. Now isn't that a surprise!
