Veterinarian as potential MSL?

I am a veterinarian with private practice experience but have worked in the animal health industry for many years - pharmaceuticals, parasiticides, vaccines. I've monitored clinical trials for two oncology products - a therapeutic cancer vaccine for melanomas and another chemotherapy drug. I also did international technical support that took me to 31 countries for clinical presentations.

I'm interested in a position as a MSL and had a couple of companies that expressed interest (Astellas, Novo Nordisk). I know there is a lot of competition for MSL positions, but do I have a realistic chance? Will a human pharmaceutical company hire me as a MSL?

    ATTENTION MSLs:

What are your thoughts? Is there a realistic possibility of a company hiring a veterinarian as a MSL?

I know a DVM who is a very successful MSL at a large company in oncology. What geographic location/s are you in/open to?

I'm in the Denver area. I'd prefer not to relocate (but would consider for the right offer). Travel is not a problem. Thanks for your help.
