To those of you who are dealing with managers and RM's who are " hot topics"... These boards are monitored, these folks don't go unnoticed. Your complaints are heard. It's easy to spot who the winners and losers are. It's not easy to get rid of ppl once they are in a management position or worse, higher up. Our new leadership team is looking into everyone because many ppl were promoted based upon one good year, zip code manipulation or fluffed reputations and knowing the right someone...

Now - what to do with this information...

Because the legal department can't get rid of these ppl over night - just a fact. Same as getting rid of bad reps - you need to build a case. You can look to leave Purdue and find a better job, that is better for you. Or, keep documentation. Once you have enough to support your argument send your info anonymously to the legal department. It will be investigated. Documentation walks the walk and talks the talk.

Trust me - this is why reps who no longer work for Purdue are being contacted.

    Contacted for what?
Purdue is a terrible, terrible, terrible company anyway. if you work there, you should hope to get downsized.

Purdue needs to respect the privacy of those reps that have quit! Leave us out of your twisted, fraudulent practices... Many of us left because of all of that garbage mentioned above. Ridiculous. Those in home office and DM's have their positions because they sold OxyContin before it was reformulated and manipulated zip codes. True leaders at Purdue. Hardly. Take a look at who sold the dog drugs... Ryzolt... Etc. Those people are long gone because they knew they were to good for this joke of a place!!!!

Purdue is in big trouble and a lot of it is because of the managers and upper management's behaviors. Your day is coming - point of this thread. Keep your documentation. If legal doesn't fry them the outside lawsuits are gearing up to do so. Case in point...

There is one district this quarter that their past is coming back to haunt them...

Purdue is a terrible company. Downsizing will come and to those who are downsized.... It is a blessing and not a curse!!

Downsizing is never a blessing. It does not work that way for most people. You work here for a while and you seldom get the pay relative to experience someplace else. I am sure people will respond about how much better they are doing financially after they received notice.

Also I know we got a new top executives but that does not matter much anymore. They bring in people who just see it as a hobby. They are not hungry. Most of us are saving for retirement and paying off the mortgage. The top executives already have millions in the bank and multiple houses already paid off. They leave with a golden parachute and move onto the next place. They don't have any skin in the game and could care less. Most do it because they are bored and need something to do. You can only golf or go on vacation for so long. Some do it just to get away from their families.

That started happening around 25 years ago when their pay exploded relative to the average worker. There are some good executive but the herd is getting thinner and thinner over time.

It seems like every company that uses ZS has the same exact approach to the business: focus, frequency, 2 pharmacy calls per day blah blah blah. The model we are using is the same as every other company. So much for differentiation. Its hard to add value and stand out when every rep from every company has the same exact mantra.

That comes from the very top. Why change things? They are already making great cash. If they move to another company there is not much to do. By making changes and differentiating requires work and risk. At 1 million plus a year why do it. That is why when people say I have a better way of doing things are usually targeted. It's not that the managers don't want to hear it. They just have no where to go. The director does not want to hear it. The VP will feel threatened.
