avoid contract sales..(its the same job, less money, less job security and less respect)..have a plan of what you want to do after being a drug rep...this job should be a 4 yeargig max and then move up and out..(take it from someone who hung around too long)
You work contract between real jobs. Its some little money while you look for a solid worthwhile job. The only people who work contract are college grads to get their experience to downsized people while they look for a real job. Sometimes working moms too for pt time pin money. No one else I know stays in these jobs. Insult in to experienced people to stay there.
Question is WHO does AZ hire? Have applied for a number of jobs. Have the exact experience requested, awards and more yet no interviews. What's up with hiring?
THere is no hiring currently. The company displaced reps/managers and enlarged unworkable territories, all so that people hopefully leave on their own accord. company saves $ in severance packages and continous the hiring freeze.... iv seen this happen to a number of other pharma companies as they try to cut down on sales force.
You have no idea how much it costs to employ a rep. You've got: Salary matching payroll tax -- big! car, gas, maintenance, insurance on the fleet obamacare 401-k match and admin computer, support staff Plenty more. It costs a fortune to employ a rep. If you think for a minute they are keeping you so as to avoid costs you've got it exactly backwards. It costs a lot to keep you. Astronomical amounts.
I have had a phone interview and have taken the online personality test. How long will it take to get results and have face to face interview?
If you have a degree and can fog a mirror and show on the personality test that you can bend over and have a hot poker shoved up your ass and still come back for more, then you are perfect for AZ.
