I hate to stir the pot but, I am at my POA and everyone knows we are on our last lifeline. I am listening to my DM give the company line and I see all of my peers just nodding heads. We are told to stay motivated, but how? We are so good at "looking productive" that as my name is pulled up for one of the top performers in our district, I am writing on CP. But I "look productive" so that is all that matters.
Frustrated that we know the end is near but everyone says we will be here for at least a year or two. Am I the only one who is being realistic?

Painfully obvious that they are axing our group at the end of the year. They are piling on busy work, spending, programs, contests, black boxes all to keep us busy until the end. They know, Prevnar is not going anywhere, without guidance, Zyvox is on it's final leg. and we already have too many selling or not selling Eliquis. They also know Obamacare and all it's sunshine are going to wreck havoc on profit margins. People the decisions have already been made.

Sorry to burst your dimwit bubble but nobody would spend money on contests, programs, or busy work if they were just going to axe you at the end if the year.
Also, Obamacare has nothing to do with product profit margins so you clearly have no F/N clue what you're talking about.

Seems that u need a history lesson on the initial comment. Ask the previously dismantled divisions what activities and contests they had right before the axe goes down.

Ophthalmics had a big contest in their last year. Also Obamacare will ultimately depress Pharma margins AND place more restrictions for branded products

Yes the "dimwit" writer is not as smart as he thinks he is.
There were contests, etc because cuts and closures are decided by people above the contest administrators.

Who thinks a $1,000 debit card is a big contest? More like a Kick The Bucket contest.

Or The Valley in CA to do porn. "Love & Other Drugs" starring A. Pfizer Rep. Or Viagra and Severance: The Life and Times of an old IS fart named Mike Ken Idy.

212ΒΊ, it boils. And with boiling water, comes steam. And steam can power a locomotive. The one extra degree makes the difference.

True. Marketing team turns over like perennials. Then sprouts up at Otsuka, Bayer, Novartis, GSK or Merck in that area.

No way this group sticks around as it sits right now in 2014. You need to jump ship now if you can as IS reps will get absorbed by other divisions if they are lucky.
