I may not be as smart as the Big Papa, but if they were worried about cost and market and all the other bullshit that pencil pushing so far out of the box dinosaur sales people pencil crunch in some over priced board room then maybe I might have surrounded myself with people who could have given me a little good advice. We are not big pharma, didn't really want to be. Thanks for the 3 big trips to cities, free booze and an oxytrol CD of some song that makes me want to rub condylox gel in my eye. What we could have used was less useless materials and stuff that helps in the sale. Bigger lunch budgets, maybe not jumping on the FDA gideline buss with the competition who lines the pocket of people on the board. The FDA was not looking at poor little Watson. We make generics with 1 branded drug. but I guess while I waited hours in the waiting room for Dr. Detrol to come talk to me for 5 fucking sec. the competition was hitting 18 holes with him in the afternoon. Hey, you forgot about the one thing that would give Oxy a chance---Direct to consumer. Ever heard of "got to go, got to go, got to go right now?" The product manager never heard of it either. They were too into small print on their "catch the wave" crappy sales aids. Please don't get me started. I wish there was a one finger instant gremlin.
