Celebrex going generic early was the catalyst for dumping this program. More layoffs are coming.

Yeah, yeah, that's right. Pfizer simply lost interest in making money! And that after paying King 3.6 billion dollars for Remoxy. What's the problem? Large companies lose interest in making money all the time!

Let's see what you do with ALO2. I'll bet we eventually lose interest in that one too. (Especially when Phizer gets its complete response letter from FDA and then announces, we have lost financial interest in ALO2 too.)

Want to know another name for Remoxy? It's called Pfuck-up! Put a registered trademark on that and stick it up your a$$!

Pfuckup for Pfizer but PTI just announced that they stabilized the product formulation. Congrates to PTI!!! New Remoxy coming soon.

Not true. Pfizer stabilized the Remoxy formulation. Unfortunately, with the formulation change, Remoxy lost its abuse deterrent properties because the abuse liability study failed. Oh well, we should have sold it under the trade name Gummy Bear Oxy.

that's funny. that drug has been a #fail since the fake launch that reps were forced to float the bill for. king was a horrible company and launched it's first and last product with much #failure. it was a side show that goes down as the worst launch in history. the company constantly lied to the reps on stocking and approval issues and then eventually the ability of the embedded drug to prevent abuse while reducing pain. it was a cluster. you all better hope you dont have to try and sell that mess. your competitors will eat you up.most reps could not detail it and had to be re-certified. a few Alpharma legacy reps rocked their certs. but faced a different termination peril later for showing out the king reps. reps were red, sweating, all wet and shaking and all had to re-do it.

who remembers the vignettes? ah, that was classic..and horribly noncompliant. there's a reason kings lights are turned out and the doors are locked. they SUCKED!

Long acting opioid market generic within 4 years...just like sleep aid market. Why would Pfizer bite off all the litigation that all these other companies are facing for polluting communities. Kentucky only wants a BILLION from little Purdue Pharma! Others getting in line. I would not screw with that market ...its not profitable enough....most companies moving those products to contract to let CSO accept the liability for promotion...move on

Agree. This market is not getting good. It's just like the immediate-release fentanyl market but its badness is 100 times worse. 15 years ago a lot of people had the same great idea. My, doesn't the world need a transmucosal fentanyl for breakthrough pain? Now we have a million and it's all gone generic.

Small companies like depomed can make a go of some brands. They don't need as much cash to keep the lights on. Not surprised JNJ dumped Nucynta. Small taters.

Alan Lillywack was responsible for the Pfizer opioid assets including Embeda, Remoxy, Oxcecta, AL-02, AL-04, Hydro-Remoxy, and more..... And do you know how much Lillywack and Pfizer have sold of these compounds over the past 4 yeas since acquiring King?
Ans: Less than $2 million dollars!!! How's that for a 3.6-billion dollar deal???

I'm gone, thankful about it too. I hope that person is gone. Doesn't sound like a sound business deal AT ALL. ALWAYS talk to the people selling the product on the ground before making a takeover deal like this, geez.

Just be glad you don't have to try to sell Emb. That was a mess. Right King!!!

Happy to see this turd (remoxy) receive its 3rd (!!!!) CRL. Maybe Pfizer actually did something smart when they gave it back.
