Amgen files a Form DEFA14A that basically pats the executives in the back for doing a great job. The next day, the first quarter results are released. They are a disaster and stock sinks almost $7 a share. Not to worry, management says that it will still hit its year-end profit projections. I'm afraid there will be way too many good staff sacrificed to hit Management Incentive goals.
