Just heard that Jill DeSimone was sent off to a new position and will no longer will be head of Oncology. Golden boy Murdo Gordon will be taking over and be adding his brilliance to the team with his experience from Canada!

True, Jill took a newly created role.

"newly created role" is code for:

STUCK HER IN A CORNER UNTIL WE CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO LET HER GO. BMS "creates new positions" all the time until they can figure out how to screw someone over or get them to quit. It is a legal move to protect their lousy ass.

Murdo does the same thing every time. He comes in and ticks off the whole sales force by instituting mandatory call notes. Then he leaves a year later. Look at cv and nss

This is true....he was responsible for getting the NS division a new product after Emsam (total dog). He produced no results and was promoted anyway.....typical of BMS culture for VPs....once you're in the club you're in.....results dont' matter.....and yes get ready for mandatory 100% call notes in a division where it can't be done.

Can someon explain to me how Murdo reached the level that he has. He never accomplished anything here in Canada. Rode the wave of Canadians that were transferred to the US back in the 90's. I guess he is an example of how to play the political game- becuse there is no track record of marketing brilliance. Fortunately, the BMS Oncology portfolio will demonstrate this.

Who exactly do you identify as the wave of Canadians who rode the wave in the 90's?

Not really. For years the joke up here in Canada was that anyone who screwed up was promoted and anyone that succeeded eventually went to work for another company

Jill was what you can expect if you never stand for anything, defend anything, push for anything, or question anything at BMS.
