Notice how we here nothing about the oncology departures? Lynelle is blind to how bad it is. I hear we are not even talking to reps to find out how to improve. Sad Lynelle!

That's ok. The budget for paying external hires is greater than that for rewarding internal loyal employees.

She's made a mockery of BMS oncology. I left the company a couple of years ago, was in a docs office this past week, chatting. The doc just laughed at the BMS salesforce coming through his doors. "BMS long ago lost their premier position in oncology and will never get back, with the management I have seen over the past 7 years."

I think Lynelle is trying. Her problem is her managers who just aren't telling her what needs to be fixed. There is something in the culture here that make me think one of two things or maybe both. DBMs don't, won't, can't or have good reason to be afraid of offering criticism so she doesn't hear about the problems. The second thing is that the reward for kissing ass must be higher than offering criticism. Ex., teleconference with new RBD the only thing that was said during the q&a was something from FM placing his lips securely in the butt crack of the new RBD. That was embarrassing to me and I was sitting alone in my car! Jesus, where is your dignity? During a recent teleconference Lynelle seemed agitated about something that needed to be fixed and seemed to know nothing about it. I heard people in my district complaining about it to the manager several times, did she not pass that on and if she didn't why not Lynelle?

You want a plan, an alternative or a solution to a criticism? Look, I don't and I guess most don't have enough information about all the things that need be considered as relates to things like legal issues and other hurdles so why would I spend time thinking about a solution. I do recognize when something isn't working or probably won't work and need to feel comfortable talking to my DBM and DBMs need to feel comfortable talking to their RBDs and that is the hold up. If improve and innovate is a core behavior we need to be comfortable discussing the things that don't work so we can improve on them but we seem to avoid all those conversations. Strange don't you think?

She knows what the problems are but refuses to admit they exist or fix them.

  9. Poor Lynelle, so smart, so gifted yet clueless. That's what you get when you "incubate" someone in Plainsboro for years and keep them away from the real world. Once she started viewing everything from the Plainsboro lense, he abilities were short circuited.

I've seen it happen to 99% of those who get promoted to an office up here. Well only a couple of more years for me and I'm out of this company. It has been disappointing to watch the slow decline of BMS over the last 20+ years. These buildings are packed with mediocrity, more now than ever.

There have been exit interviews with some oncology reps who have left--will anyone listen to what is said?? We have survey after survey and nothing changes.

Lynelle has no clue and no interest in changing the culture. It is a primary care mentality. You never hear about the good people leaving. Think about it, in the last few months we lost good reps in Nashville (2), Knoxville, Jackson (2) and now Atlanta, all in the Central region. We have lost good DMs as well. She knows the problem but refuses to act. The RSDs are nothing but pawns for implementation of strategies that are meaningless to our customers. Any moron can send out rep triggers and set up an expert connect. There will be more defections.

Agree completely. Yes, there will be many more defections. So sad, I actually thought for many years this was the best company for me. Now I can't wait to get out. It is becoming a completely "unlivable" environment. Oh and one more thing.. As I prepare to leave, let me tell you what you can do with those trigger letters.

This is true...oh ya and she is actually thinking about adding even more reps even as we trip over each other and hear of fights all over the place....great idea

Maybe the problem is her background, essentially primary care, and little of that.

Some of you may not realize how bad it is "out there". This industry has hit the skids. Management in general is HORRIBLE. I like Lynelle; I think she's sincere, and find the corporate environment @ BMS to be quite positive. I think we're fortunate to be here. Trust me, the grass ain't greener; it's scorched earth out there.

Thanks for your opinion new hire. You must be one of the primary care reps that BMSO brought on in the last expansion when no tenured ONC reps would even interview. Congrats on finally making it into oncology. Funny that your former company wouldn't let you into oncology but BMS welcomed you with open arms. You are likely being paid more than your tenured pod mates too. Congrats.

Please get over yourself! People like you are the problem .. You criticize "primary care" and think you're somehow superior because you have a couple years experience calling on specialists.. It's all the same and were all doing the same job ..
