It's a trocar and some endo-mechanical instruments you dimwit. Those instruments sell themselves

Did that make you feel better? Trying to understand why you would have actually taken time out of your day to make a comment like that.

Whoever sent that reply is either someone with the maturity of a ten year old or is someone from the competition trying to make Applied people look bad. If it was someone from Applied, I apologize on behalf of the company. Every company has some idiots.

To answer your question, I'm not in the ALS position but my opinion is its one of the best positions in the salesforce from the standpoint of the day-to-day job. Compensation for various positions within the company is not shared information, even internally, and my guess is there is room for negotiation if they want you (I would estimate it's in the $110K - $130K range). Applied managers are known to overblow the comp package, so ask to speak with or better still work a day or two with an ALS and try to get a clearer picture of what's realistic.

Either way you go, good luck.

Thanks for the input, that's what I was wanting to understand. I'm sure that somewhere in Applied there is some good to be had....lol.

There's good and bad in every job. It all depends on how you deal with it. Read some of the threads on here and you'll find the same people who are pissed about their job at Applied. Others will tell you the opposite. If you go into it thinking you're going to get screwed because of what you read on an anonymous forum, then yeah, you probably will.

These boards are like hearing about a divorce from a friend, there is his side, her side and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Applied seems to be doing something right, healthcare IS changing and cost IS a major factor. So what is wrong with a low cost option for hospitals that are clinically viable?

This post is utter and complete BS. Cut that salary range by 40% for a true estimate, and there is no room for negotiations.
