I would bet that you are newer to pharma ...and you know your days are numbered wo this job....so lets kiss Dans ass. He is a moron. Is a liar. He is abusive to his reps and rules through intimidation. Everyone in the Florida Region can agree on that. Hes been reported to HR many times over many years and always promises to change. Do you like that? Naaaaah, you're just happy to still have a job. Poor you. Proud to be a drug rep without regard to how you are treated. How sad and pathetic.

Dude, the only DM's that are irrelevant are the ones who think that with their promotion they died and went to heaven. It is possible to lend insight and share ideas with others without being an asshole. That being said, every DM here is an asshole - especially DH.

In my experience it's not the DMs who are the issue - it's the RDs, VPs and above that don't get it. They are so far removed from the issues in the field - all they want to focus on are metrics they can measure (R&F, calls per day, speaker programs, etc.) All the micromanagement of metrics and the ridiculous admin is what drives down job satisfaction. Not to mention, when we try to tell them something is broken they basically tell us to sit down and shut up. Not that they would say that to our faces, they simply let us have our say and then have someone go to our manager and tell our manager to tell us to sit down and shut up. It's such a farce. (But just remember if you say something that isn't boot-licking or butt-kissing - we will remember you, have you punished and label you a troublemaker.)
