Is it just a luck (or no luck) of the calendar for sales? If you had a great year in 2011 and-or 2012 and dropped in 2013 you are now in the dumpster for layoffs. If you had a lousy few years, then had big managed care win in 2013, you're now high on the hog! Breathin' easy..... Seems to me it could boil down to a luck. If the cut decisions were made on this years numbers or 2012 a whole different set of people would be biting their nails. Surely, me thinks, other factors need to come into play. Ya think?
And this is why the company has been sliding downhill for years. In MRL, even if you were top performance material but happened to have been placed in an out-of-favor project, you we're let go before a poor performer in an in-favor project. It happened with every layoff I've been through and now we have a few good people left and a bunch of lucky people left. Not the making of a high performance organization.
