Wow, now that we have totally shit the bed with Breo and most likely will do the same with Anoro, it is hillarious watching management flipping out as they will soon be walking the plank. The sales force did just what they were told to do, delivering the inept message and KPI's right from the get go. We tried to tell them what we needed was data, but management never paid any attention to the reps trying to talk reality to them. We end up with one of the worse product launch disasters in pharma history. Now management is scurrying to find asanine reasons and blaming everyone and everything other than global warming for this fiasco. Things got to be realy hot in the kitchen these days and these folks are going to be looking for work soon! Maybe it is time to stop listening to the MBA's of bullshit and start listening to your reps! LOL

We have transformed from a capitalist thinking company to a progressive socialist corp. Look who's running it. They all supported the ACA and Obamacare, when the sales force knew it was a bad move. Our leaders sold our soul to the devil. When they do lead they lead from behind like our beloved imperialist president. Instead of making profits by giving mc ins companies rebates we give away medicines free to people who work and have insurance. Think about it, medicaid business is more profitable than the commercial market for GSK. Can it get any better because I know it can get worse.

To Management: LISTEN TO YOUR SALES PROFESSIONALS!!! The ones with greater than 15 years of industry experience and at least 40 years of life experience. Get their honest input. Listen and implement many of the suggestions you receive. Upper management needs to go through their own "restructuring". Get the poison out and bring in new people ....from the GlaxoWelcome side!!

You are so right!! The SK management completely screwed up a once wonderful company. They all need to go.

Ummm-okaaay. Your comments are rather ignorant and knee-jerk right-wing, BUT, I think that we have common ground in agreeing with the OP! The true reasons for gsk's issues are legion, voluminous, diverse, and have been posted on CF many times so no sense repeating here.

Before the ShitKline merger you never ever heard anyone complain about Glaxo. Yes, I mean NEVER!!! It was almost like a fairy tale. Very soon after the merger we went to hell in a handbag. Fast forward to today and you can not find anyone say anything positive about working here. And don't tell me to leave, as I was Glaxo long before these tirds took the helm. I am not going to be run off by these asses.

Me too. Remember the good days when Glaxo had a tiered bonus structure? I think it was 14k for sales rep, 21k for senior sales rep, 28k for executive sales rep and 35k for Sr Exec. Now the bonus is sh!t. I remember them saying "we are keeping the best policies from both companies to form one great company" What a joke we have become.

Dude, dudette or Mr ShitKline whatever, we kicked your ass with Zantac vs Tagadog, Ceftin vs Dogmentin, and the entire injectable antibiotic market. Competing against you guys was like the Harlem Globe trotters having stooges playing defense just for show, with ShitKline being the stooges. Gosh, kicking your asses made us so much money and was so fricking fun. Actually i would have done it for nothing, I enjoyed it so much.

Zantac May have kicked tagamet but ceftin never outsold augmentin. Beecham and Glaxo were very much alike, small underdog companies. Skf just got very lazy.

More pressing issues like horrible management, no direction, metrics first and sales second, failed drug launches with Treximet, Horizant, Veramyst, and of course BREO. Morale at the lowest point in company history. Giving honest feedback on 360 only to have Mitch tell you that you are wrong, this company is great and leave if you can't kiss a$$ and conform and oh by the way, " I pitched for the Red Sox and traveled to Ireland" How is that for current? Shall I continue?
