Hi there, I am new to the boards. I am an experienced RN with a strong clinical background in both private practice surgery and large hospital (mostly vascular/thoracic), and critical care. I have been researching clinical specialist positions for some time and have been networking quite a bit. I was recently approached by a recruiter for a clinical specialist position for Edwards. It sounds great, something I think I would excel at. I am really excited to interview. Does anyone have any information about this type of position and feedback for me? I am up for a new challenge and I am really looking to put my career in a new direction. Any help would be so very appreciated. Thanks very much.

I appreciate the advice regarding interviewing, and thankfully I don't have to be fake, I was actually looking for some feedback regarding the organization itself and even perhaps the role of clinical specialist. Thanks in advance!

Is this trans-aortic valve? The position would be for flo-trac. Again, I am totally new to this field, as an RN. I do not know what to expect in terms of what the job would be like and I would love some feedback from other clinical field specialists!

It supposed to be a good job and I heard that you work a lot. really depends on your manager and the rep that you work with.

I am the original poster to this thread, I didn't say I was looking for a job where I "don't have to do much". I have progressed to three interviews with a very well-known biotech company for Field Specialist. I just needed an objective opinion, as a very hard-working and driven RN, and professional. Thanks!

Did you get the job? Are you going to take it?
Don't mind some of the posters. It's the way most boards are.

I am interested in clinical consultant jobs too. I am interviewing with a company to. Looking for a lifestyle change.
