Any insight for current culture and product acceptance. Interviewing and looking for any input from past or present employees.

The new CCO is a douche bag. He has taken all power from the Regional Managers who actually understand the market and their hospitals. Heard he was an ex Cordis dink. Not surprising considering the Cordis track record with alienating good customers.

I worked at this firm a few years ago and all I can say is dishonest unethical cheeseballs. RUN and do not waste your time. It was well known while many people were exiting the company they were not paying people for their efforts and commitments. I don't know how the slime machine is still operating.

Totally agree. New CCO: Randy Hubbell is a douche. He drove the Biosurgery business at Ethicon to the ground. He called himself a man of god: he had a picture of Pope John Paul II in his office but he was a sleaze. He would get very close to some of the younger interns and make them feel uncomfortable.

His time at Ethicon was up. He did nothing in 4 years. During his watch he also allowed a long standing affair to continue between one of his direct report (Director of Marketing) and of that person's direct reports (Senior PM). Sadly someone else had to come and take action to remove this kind of smut from the work place.

Disgusting person and even worse leader. It will always be about him.

If you ask him he will tell you that he was THE guy behind Cypher Stent at Cordis. Don't believe the lies!

Don't go work here. This place is going to go to the ground!!!!!!!

Wow, that's pretty bad and shows poor integrity. Can't trust someone like that with a position of responsibility - he's not going to have the best interests of the business in mind.

He is the worse. I wonder how Cardiva got suckered to hiring him.

Sunnyvale hide your teenagers, he's coming for them!

i interviewed here last year. I was disappointed I didn't get the job but realize all things happen for a reason. A recruiter called me a month ago regarding the same position, turns out person they hired isn't in that position any more, the VP that I interview with quit and the hiring manager is either gone or in a new position. WOW am I lucky I didn't get hired, of course I laughed and said no way especially considering I already interviewed and looking at what happened in 6 months after I interviewed is a sign to definitely stay away from Cardiva!

Re: cardiva sales position - TELL ME ALL YOU KNOW

Recruiter called about this position. Any additional intel out there on this company? Based on the posts, it sounds like a real cluster f\/ck. Am I missing anything?

1 - Are there any redeeming aspects for this company, the product (Vascade), or the management team?

2- What is the realistic income potential? $80k base & $140k at plan for first year .... to go higher in subsequent years as business grows is what I was told.

3- What are the experiences of the tenured and new reps selling Vascade?

4-Clinical preceptions and acceptance of Vascade?

5-Any redeeming reasons to consider this other than present or pending unemployment or as a stepping stone for someone newly trying to break into med device sales? Neither apply in my case.

Any feedback out there on any of the above would be greatly appreciated.

Re: cardiva sales position - TELL ME ALL YOU KNOW

why would we fall for this kind of BS post?
reads like a competitive monitoring projects clients laundry list... really? numbers one and 4 are thinly veiled attempts at getting competitive messaging... and why do we feel the need to give out career advise to nameless and facelss applicants anyhow? wouldn't you want to evaluate someone before you spill it? and to the poster- come on, you should really come clean on who you collect for, how much they paying you to troll?

what folllows is all pure BS, if a recruiter called you, your follow on would not be anonymous on CP:

There aren't"t many "tenured" reps in this company.

4-Clinical preceptions and acceptance of Vascade?
Perception is it's another collagen based product....it has a high complication rate in our area....plus it is closure....so you spend your time putting out fires in a world where radial cases are increasing and femoral cases are decreasing.

I worked for them prior to Vascade and I'm glad I left.....the company has a history of hiring and later cutting sales reps....our area is on its third rep since I left three years ago....fwiw

Any feedback out there on any of the above would be greatly appreciated.

Cardiva did some major layoffs in 2008, and several minor ones in 2010 and 2012. They have a decent product.....not widely used so I guess you have a lot of growth opportunity. My area hired one of the 2008 layoff recipients back as a regional manager and has a clinical specialist and a sales rep. I am friends with the regional manager and he said he has some concerns if things don't change by Q3.

    Re: Interviewing

oh, ok, lets just spell it out for your LAZY anonymous public ass. Do your own research for "intel." Honestly. What competitor did you sell out for? Let's switch it up. What is your quota for finding information in a competitive market? for whom? for how much? Realistic? Thanks.
