    -foot ankle (somehow, but its in the work, trust me)
    -surgical


    less commission, less overall products, higher quota

    If by less commission you mean a smaller percentage, that's one thing. If you mean less $$, that's your fault. Go out there and sell something and you'll make more money. I thought we were salesmen, our job is to sell. Stop complaining and do your job.

    If I were a betting man I would say there is no way in hell you are in sales. You sound like the mid level home office marketing/sales person who can't believe the powerpoints/sales brochures you slap together aren't swaying sales nationwide.

    An even better bet would be that the writer is a home office person who can't believe the horse s##t sales numbers for the last 6 - 8 months and is wondering what the f##k you people are doing out in the field! Perhaps you all SHOULD get the hell off this site and do your jobs instead of whining and bitching!

    The Zimmer salesforce, aside from the ones who have left recently, have been going at it basically the same way their whole career, so that is not the answer. Given that this is a confoundingly long-range business (few in management get this aspect or there would not be the 30-60-90 mantra), one has to look back many years as to why the sales numbers are tanking in the here and now.

    Only when those in positions of authority TRULY care about why:

    -Morale has been in the toilet for years
    -New recon product pipeline has been dry for years
    -Extremely valuable employees have left en masse over the last 5 years, with many more looking at options (telling as that never happened 10 years ago)
    -Distance between leadership and the field is light years apart with little to no communication of VISION

    There are uncomfortable answers to these questions, answers that could turn this company around PROFOUNDLY, but no one will address them of import so the "quit your whining and bitching and sell" worldview will prevail, as wisdom is clearly on backorder....with no release date.

    This has been revised. Biomet distributor did not come to and agreement with ZB.
