Hahaha. These folks are a joke. Very defensive about their position. Merck is constantly trying yo reinvent the wheel. This us just the latest experiment that will fail. They will be gone. Bye bye.

Do you mean the Part time EPBU reps or the InVentiv reps?

It seems some reps are having a harder time.than others accepting their disposability. Sales keep dropping - every quarter like clockwork.

Could be the portfolio, could be the reps. It takes a loooooong time to change the portfolio so, reps, out you go. It's not like you're making numbers now so they're willing to switch you out and at least spend less for declining results.

as a contract rep you bet i'd be a little defensive..first we end up getting paid less to do the same job as you (mmmh..getting paid less, same work..wonder if corporate bean counters have picked up this concept?), then on most contracts we're held to higher standard of call activity (Can I get a signature?)...then come bonus time we see a fraction of what our counterparts get..then the usual smaller promotion budget (foot long, how about a 6 inch instead)? Training, meetings compressed into much smaller time periods...less company benefits and all this with real possibility of contract ending with 20 minutes notice with NO severance and a little hope to get put on new contract maybe in 6 months...

Since you were already fired and then re-hired as a contract rep, you should feel lucky. And if you don't like it, go find something else. Easy

Within in 5 years there will be NO " dedicated " PC reps and only a few speciality. If you decide that for some reason you now still want to be a pharma rep. you will all eventually be CSO's.
It just makes too much good business sense. If you don't like it go find something else.
