I currently work for a small bilogic company going through an interesting time which is the only reason I am looking. Job is true account mgt. We receive patient insurance verification reports (blinded because of HIPAA) and literally walk the office through every step until the vial is received in the office from the SD or SP for the multi day procedure. If we do not manage the process, vials will never ship. Current company could not care whether or not we visit 1 or 5 offices a day as physical activity does not equal sales regarding what we do. Increased sales will happen if the complicated process is managed appropriately and made tolerable/staff does not get burdened with paperwork and delayed shipments/procedures. We do not drive around and visit offices just to stop by. When we are at an account it is for a 1 on 1 appointment with the doc (usually not office lunches) or more than likely to fix an issue and work with a staff member. When we walk through the door someone is expecting us and they are thankful we will help fix the current problem. Without that assistance...let's be honest...we would have little to no value and never would get near the doctor. In fact 99% of the time we only see the doctor during the procedure (average doctor only utilizes this procedure 1-4 times a year). Our managers understand that some days are more productive working from laptop and phone as pulling through vials and fixing problems is the bulk of our job (only about 40 reps in nation). Is this similar to your division or are you primarily expected to just detail hour after hour, work with other reps in pods, and from an office or institutions stand point are not needed to provide assistance with acquisitons, logistical issues, billing/delayed claims, etc? Thanks for any honest feedback.

Go away jerk off... If you don't know what an oncogy rep does than you have no business even applying for a job here.. Go troll somewhere else .. And nobody cares what you do on a daily basis

We don't help offices and are of no value to them. Better off to stay where you are if you don't want to feel like your job is worthless.

BMS oncology reps actually save lives, we help the doctor decide on therapy, administer therapy, dictate patient charts, communicate with family members and attend funerals of patients that don't make it. You could say we are the keystone to oncology treatment in the U. S. If this is what you want, come on over!
