Has anyone else noticed that having Advair gets you into a lot of offices that you might not get into without. Hmmmm? Has anyone else figured that when other InVentiv reps have the shelves chock full of Advair and you come in selling Anoro, your importance has dropped tremendously. You are going to hear a lot of "no we have plenty of Advair and we definitely do not need any more Anoro!" See you next time Bub!

Why "manage out" reps one at a time, when you can do it en masse?

A strategy that makes even more sense when there is a generic ICS/LABA available and ADVAIR and BREO go 'poof' overnight.

The miss on ANORO is when we hit the iceberg.

Good point! It gives you opportunity that will not be there when Inventiv is stocking the closets and they no longer need you for Advair samples. In some offices it allows you face to face contact and allows you to get back to the sample closet. In other offices it at least gets you a signature, where you can attach some kind of GSK approved reminder about Anoro or Breo. Just an unintended consequence of bringing on Inventiv! But honestly, I think the company can see that Anoro is never going to really take off. So GSK figures in the meantime they had may as well milk Advair for all it is worth.

Kinda sad that the biggest part of your job is delivering samples to offices. Who honestly enjoys walking into an office and asking if they need samples? A 17 year old can do that, the future is very cloudy in this type of business model.
