This might be the most over-hyped drug I've seen in my career in pharma. It is all self-generated from those two shills that keep going around saying how amazing it is and defending THEIR OWN STUDY! Of course they are going to say it is great.
In reality, it won't be first-line, there are still many unresolved safety concerns, and it won't be covered in many cases because it hasn't genuinely proven itself to be better than alternative generic therapeutic options. Not to mention it is being sold by Novartis so you know we are going to blow it somehow.
I'm a little freaked out that if it gets approved is going to be one of the all time biggest flops. The shitty part is that we are the ones that will get left holding the bag when the management inevitably wants to pass the buck and avoid all responsibility. (Yes, Senior Management all the way to the top, that is exactly what we think of your integrity and character)

This is a big fear among reps. This is what we have come to expect because past behavior predicts future behavior and novartis invented the definition of "insanity". If leadership would actually do something different they might see huge positive results. Otherwise it's a replay of the past. What happened to "thinking like a customer"?. Here is a novel thought - actually do that and let customers know you heard them and see respect and business grow. It's not rocket science. Get your heads out of your egotistical asses and rock the boat, start true change, create loyalty and respect across the board. You win that way. How come no one in leadership gets this? Morons.

Reps are the ones who get it since we hear the customer. But leadership thinks we are stupid. That's the problem. NPC is worried about stockholders not patients so stop insulting your sales force with that line. We care about our customers and patients and hear their needs daily. Leadership does not. They do not see the big picture. Remember when novartis had a goal of being " the most respected pharma company in the industry"? We will never be respected if we don't fill the need of customers and patients. It doesn't mean giving the drug away but it does mean making it affordable on a long term timeline of the patient being able to afford to put the pill in their mouth. If they can't do that then it's over. End of story. No one benefits. And Reid can't sell what patients can't affird and docs can't prescribe. That is the reality novartis.
