Look for the CEO's resignation soon. He made the decision to give away unlimited free product to Medicare patients and they lost in excess of 12 million in just one quarter's time. They failed to ensure a full proof infrastructure was in place prior to giving away free product, in order to get patients approved and turned over into paying customers. At This time, the patients are disgruntled. This of course means the prescribers are disgusted with their "baiit and switch" tactics. The shame of it is, innocent / hard working Galena reps just ruined their reputations without ever even have being given a chance! DISASTER! This industry is the worst!

how stupid are you. do you understand what market share is? its how many patients are on the medication compared to the competitor drugs in its class. When you give away free product to all Medicare patients and give away additional free product to all patients you are "enrolling" in your post launch "clinical trials", you do successfully gain market share.

Youre an idiot! How is Ahn giving away free product? There are coupon vouchers that help with the Copay only for the first month but that doesnt mean Abstral is free to ins. companies. You must be a candidate that didnt get the Galena job and must be bitter

I'd be happy to bring you on as an intern. the galena coupons are used weekly - up to 3 weeks a month - per pt. They are given to Medicare pts. Once you give free product to a medicare pt, you can't bill insurance company by law for 12 months. Great strategy! Someone will surely get fired over that brilliant move .Lastly - you gain market share based on prescriptions. When the same pt gets a script 3 weeks a month - your prescriptions in actuality are 1/3 less. This will all be public knowledge soon. Bro, you simply don't know anything. BTW, when you give a free product card in place of samples - because it's a class 2 med, your coupon vendor pays for the product to get it in the pt hands, then it back bills the pharma company that put the cards out. It's free product, galena pays for it. If they bill insurance. They are going to jail for fraud. We are not talking about co-pay cards for commercial insurance. Your pts can't use co-pay cards because you approval rate with getting pts insured is approximately 20 percent. Embarrassing and disgraceful!

 

And just what is the incentive for a drug company to give away free product? Great business model!
