Default 3M sold to Chester Valley/Graceway

New name for Chester Valley will be Graceway. Should be pretty good company.

What do you mean - should be ? I heard the company is divided in half- part control in PA and part in Tennessee. Is this a solid plan or do they just want to exist to get bought ?

Graceway has existed for less than a year. How do they qualify so quickly for "piece of shit" status?

They are a POS because they have Benziq and Atopiclair. Aldara is 10 years old and is close to patent expiration. Maxair Autohaler is 14 years old. Benziq and Atopiclair is not on any ins. plan. Would not be suprised if Aldara is taken off all the plans.

You are both wrong and right=
Wrong -because Graceway began their existance just a month ago- that does not equate to anything near a year. But their products are tenuous at best.
Right- because they are trying REAL hard to survive, the previous company Chestervalley lasted a year and a half......more money involved here plus the guidance of 3M and King pharmaceuticals......if this don't work well.....kind of a sign of the times in pharmaceuticals.

The cmpany changed there name from Chester Vally to Graceway. Same people. The bought 3M Pharmaceuticals - Aldara, Maxair Autohaler but they also brought in 3 Astellas people to be VP of Sales and 2 regional positions. They are already screwing the 3M'ers who went. Aldara is the 2nd best selling derm drug in history behind accutane but is now 10 years old. They are in trouble

Geez, you seem to know everything. How exactly are they in trouble when they just formed? And exactly how have the old 3M's been screwed? Laughable.

I hope that is true. Graceway has a greta track record in pha`rmaceuticals. Benziq and aptopiclair are one of the best selling derm drugs on the market.

There was a time when Dermik was less than a 20 million dollar/year company. Dermik sales did not even exceed 100 million dollars just 10 years ago, and were less than 200 million just 6 years ago. Say what you want about the Graceways and Collagenexes of the world, but back when Dermik was small the following companies looked down their noses at Dermik;

Westwood Squibb
Glaxo Derm
Upjohn Derm
Syntex Derm

They were all "big" like Dermik is now, these days their gone. Be nice to the small companies, if your lucky you may work get for one of them someday. You may get have the pleasure of being part of something that has passion, high growth, and high reward.

Like Derm? if yes...play nice and network network network!'

"One of the best selling derm drugs on the market"?? Uhhh, that's 2 drugs there Mike. And you conveniently neglect to mention Aldara, the largest selling topical drug in dermatology. But that might cloud your ignorant, small minded attempt at sarcasm. Enjoy big pharma life here at Dermik - I'm out!

That is correct. I would like to thank Brian Jennings for letting me attend the upcoming AAD where I have 3 interviews already set up. Networking baby!

Do not work for 3M, CVP or a competitor, but can tell you this much...

According to what I researched, AWP was $216 in Nov, and is now $268 today. That's almost 25% increase exactly (do not know what date it changed exactly.)

For the poster wondering about an API (raw materials) price increase as reason for price increase. I doubt it...if anything, probably getting less expensive, as more and more manufacturers are filing DMFs. 2 more have filed within the last 6 months. There are now 5 or 6 manufacturers that have US approved DMFs for this product.

Per Orange Book, in Oct 2006, someone filed a Paragraph IV certification for Imiquimod - this means that there is a generic out there that is saying that they have a method of manufacturing that does not infringe on your patents, so they will look to invalidate patents/launch early. That means you have about 30 months at the most until a generic hits the market, possibly sooner.
