Re: Sales Associate Vs. Sales Representative
From what I know being with the company for a couple of years now, pretty much nobody gets hired in as a rep unless they are a competitive rep coming over from another company. There is a high probability that you will be hired as an associate which in my opinon is absolutly critical. Being an associate gives you time to learn the business, surgery ect., without having a quota tied to you. Also, as an associate you will be with other reps customers, so if you do happen to make a mistake, it's not the end of the world because the lead rep is the one with the relationship and can usually fix anything that has gone wrong on your end. It does mean that you have to be patient as an associate typically won't get promoted for a couple of years, but from what I've seen, there are some nice financial and intrinsic rewards to this business...
