Default HSAMs

I would argue that the giggest oversight in PTP process was to largely overlook the HSAM group. The senior leadership could have saved many true field salespersons who bring in revenue by cutting this group.

Please understand I don't want anyone to lose their job but given the reality of the enviroment here either eliminating this group or moving them into positions which truely add to the bottom line would have been a better choice.

I am not interested in calling out individual HSAMs but those in hospital sales will agree that the group as a whole relies on hospital reps to set up appts for them and ensure support is present to support formulary additions which HSAMs have taken credit for.

In summary, these are not bad people but their role does not add value to the bottom line so I ask who should stay-HSAMs or field sales?

DK/KK are trying hard to justify these jobs but if they don't do anything now why would anyone think they will with future products either?

Get your facts straight. For example without the HSAMs (or the RAMs) you reps wouldn't be able to sell Avelox or Asmanex.

Who are HSAMs and what do they do? Is this a new position since PTP?

Who ever said that the HSAMs are responsible for allowing us to sell these two shitty products is high. We give the damn drugs away and still have no marketshare. You guys (and I do mean guys....do you actually have a woman on your team?) are useless. You do nothing good, your leaders based on what people say, all suck and offer nothing. If rumors are accurate and Lilly comes in and buys us, you assholes are GONE. I used to work for them and they will see through you lame strategies and poor work ethics. Get ready for a real ride when the calvery comes to town.

Except for Bob Gloden, most of HSAMs are as competent as any RAM..

I am not high but I think you hospital reps are. HSAMs are "the brains" leaving you with the easy job of pull through (which you can't do worth a crap)

Thats funny....we cant sell? How tough is your job, we get you your appts, you walk in and try to give our shitty products way with huge discounts and they still tell you "NO". We even have tried to bundle the drugs and yet our marketshares are horrible. Whats next, are they gonna have you selling Nasonex into the hospitals just to have you waste more time on our clock before they realize you are all worthless. Your time is coming. Prodcuts are running out and your failures to accomplish formulary wins are being seen at higher and higher levels. Keep your resumes updated. You will need them soon.

We locked in most of the Avelox conversions allowing reps to take the credit without actually earning it.

SP Managed markets has been ranked amongst the best in the industry and making the sales reps look good for long time. Without us who would get formulary wins for you?

We don't need to shlep lunches to get time with key decision makers. In fact they usually call US for basic product information the CV/Hospital Reps should have been able to give on their own.

Biggest problem we have is Reps (think michigan CV reps) who never give credit to HSAMs for hospital system wins like when Bobby G who converted Oakwood to Asmanex Foradil then CV rep walked in behind him and got the easy bonus money

CV Reps are the most overrated because they are afraid/won't promote our cv products and aren't able to sell respiratory products-even with lower price and nhlbi guidelines preferred- meaning they only promote contraceptives.
