Default IT'S OFFICAL -12/1 morning phone calls for job placements

Have to stay out of the field on Monday morning as nationally phone calls will be to reps letting them know there status of employment. They forgot to mention one key thing. Have a nice Thanksgiving. Thank you Sanofi for everything you do.

It's true, VM from RSD this morning. Stay home, wait for call between 8-5 from a member of your regional management team (which probably means if you're getting "displaced" your current DM won't have the balls to tell you themself). No other info given...

I spoke with my manager yesterday and this is the only news i have gotten. Yes, we are getting phone calls-they get their info and then they send it to use and call.

On a different note-I know it is a different thread but to the jerk who says that only losers are let go obviously has never ever had to sell-they have had formulary advantages, geography advantages and decent teammates who are not arrogant a..holes. There are a great many good sales reps who work hard, do not cheat the system but sometimes do not have counterparts, or formulary wins. Yes-I am probably going to lose my job. I really like my job and no - I did not work 9-2. I covered 1700 to 2000 miles a week most weeks and my cpa was usually above 9-but of my many many mangers in the last 3 years ( I have had 7) I got superdude-

I have heard that the unlucky reps hear first in order to make it a smooth transition. OMG - here we go.

I SO IDENTIFY with all your points having had the full spectrum of similar experiences. BTW, the toughest sales is the product(s) with no MC, no superior benefits, ineffective teammates, etc. Driving Sales in that arena far outweighs all those who think the numbers tell the whole story. That is why the paradigm is changing. It did not reflect real world. And those who try to dis those who have had to work with all the impediments while calling their own sales without those impediments superior are just idiots. And, we aren't idiots - we are going through the "about to be displaced" syndrome. I have enjoyed working with you all even the idiots !!! LOL

True having been through these before displaced reps get calls first. This eliminates the hysterics that go on as been through many of these its better to get the call later that day. It won't work by not answering yor phone til 4 as some idiot tried this a few years back thinking if they couldn't call him he wouldn't be let go. Don't try to argue your case with whatever pinhead gives you the call. Calmly take the message get your severence packqge if any and have an employment attorney review it before you sign it Good luck to all as waiting all day will be upsetting.

We got a COLD message from our RSD to check email Sunday evening, which would give information on phone call times for Monday.

And...I loved the fake Happy Thanksgiving crap he filled our ear with first....and then by the way "check your email after you eat your BIG FAT Turkey...to see if your fat ass has a job on Monday AM"

You need to check your vm then. We got our message on Monday, of course the usual company line about how thankful they were to have us and have a great holiday and oh by the way work from home on Monday the 1st and wait by the phone for your placement call. Why don't they just tell us, it's not like they are going to be scurrying around this weekend to see who has the best CPA or numbers. They can say what they want to, they know and have known who is gone and who is safe!!!!!

Fact: If you are being placed, you will receive a phone call via DSM only. If you are displaced, you will be called by your RSD and HR (w/ DSM in some instances). Some cases will require a DSM on the Conf. call for the "Seperated Reps."

P.S.,
The calls by HR/RSD are for a reason and not due to your DSM "not having balls." This is a Company requirement, for obvious reasons. Your DSM had no knowledge, say-so, or decision in the placement process.

Good luck!

What if you don't have a DSM?

My podmate told me about this website to get your resume out to medical sales recruiters. It is called www.medmarketconnect.com if you are interested. He said he used it a couple weeks ago and got some good leads.

I used www.salesresumeblaster.com. Saw really good results with them because they send to other sales recruiters outside of pharma as well. I'm just tired of this industry downsizing.

Thank you. I think I am going to get into credit card processing sales. I think that will be a stable industry with good upside income potential.

Good luck with that. I actually have been contacted by a number of smaller medical and pharma companies. I think I am going that route.

Have you heard that pfizer is going to be laying off another 50% of their sales force. When is this ever going to end?
