Default Multaq- Will it ever be approved?

I think I made a mistake signing up for this team. I starting to think the approval is far away.

Be constructive with your time and do not show that you stop believing it is coming - otherwise you will be the first to go when they start letting people go. In the mean time work on your CV....

just my 2 cents....

You should of done your homework. If you listened to your experienced people in your district you'd realize they had some suspect brain department people in multaq leadership roles. Only a moron would go to a 3 day meeting for multaq knowing no approval date is set. You were mislead. Your hiring manager is not that sharp and your RD is more than likely very suspect in the brains department. Good luck as you did make the wrong choice. If it does get approved and it doesn't take off in 6 months France will cut it loose. There's 6 years remaining on the patent. Not much time to recoup investment.

Several reps in my BU wanted this job because they didn't want to deal with the generic issue soon coming to threaten our 2 biggest drugs. They were sold on the idea that only the brightest would be taken into this elite group of reps. Multaq will probably get approved but not any time soon. Too much press on previous bad decisions. The other problem for these reps besides no drug is that if it ever comes there will only be one!

Seriously... what are the Multaq reps doing right now? They're on their third week... I'd say they're putting in more than a few hours at the golf courses.

That might be the dumbest quote I've ever read on this board. Please enlighten us on all of these issues that you seem to know about, genius. I'm sure you are well aware of the entire market and how Multaq has the same "issues" as sotalol, amiodarone, and dofelitide...then please, with all of your wisdom and experience around REMS, tell us all why it will "never get approved". I assume you have either a) years of experience selling in the AF market or b) you have years of experience as an RML or c) you are a cardiologist.

Now please go count your samples of Avalide 300/12.5.

Um, you're a rep for a pharmaceutical company. You drop off pens (well, till july 1st) and feed office cows and pray the dr will sign your computer. Do not pretent you know 1/100th of what a physician does or what the FDA will do. If this drug was so "great!" it would have been approved 3 years ago, dope. If you took one of these "glorified" primary care rep positons then I can see why you're so nervous and defensive. I hate it when I make mistakes too.

Does anyone know the status for external hires on the Multaq team? I was hoping for an offer the same day PDUFA tanked.

Who cares if this drug get approved, (although it does not look good) within months most offices will follow Vermont's new law and stop lunches ,hospital are closing to pharma reps daily and obama's national health care will be the final straw. Don't need all these reps and managers and regionals, and VP's (please stop!) if government is going to MANDATE generics and allow brand only by PA. Look at the VA, patient needs to have multiple stents to qualify for plavix, that's the future...

Heard they are pushing down a Multaq database into Quest in the coming weeks. No clue what they are planning to put in it... Good question on what the Multaq team does, they've been calling the help desk for three weeks straight because they can't figure out how to work the shitty "eraser" mouse on the horrible Lenovo crap-tops that HO bought. Even though the drug is not approved and has no approval date in sight, they STILL fucked up the training with all that Cohort #2 crap. And just to clarify with all you Reps and DM's out there, we hate Learning Gateway and these laptops as much as you guys do. Probably more. (We being the help desk)

They're at training right now. I don't understand how they have the reps at 'training' with no label. I guess it's good I didn't get the job!
