My buddy told me it was held at 6pm. The reps still don't have the dial in information.
Priceless.

First, they give vague directions about the teleconference (you had to go on to Comm. Central to get the dial-in number). Then they start 15 min late trying to get their s$%t together. Then TC says that this is a great opportunity to show our customers how committed we are to patients. When is the last time these people were in the field? Completely out of touch. Another Monday am to dread.

The same thing here. I get an email after 7 PM for a 6 PM teleconference. No other communication was sent to notify you about this very important teleconference.

This morning the the other S teleconference scheduled for 8 AM starts after 8:20 AM. What is going on inside? Half the country is on hold listening to music. I got work to do guys. I have to move and make calls. Ever hear of sales? Let us make some. Wake up inside please. On top of that this AM teleconference was scheduled initally for 8 AM on June 1st. Reps were calling in and then they learned that it was rescheduled for today the 12th.

Things are really out of control here.

How about an acknowledgement that you people blew it. get your stuff together!
Be real and appoligize.

Monday will be the perfect storm for reps. It will be time to dance in front of our doctors. It is going to be crazy.

Shows you how clueless and lame management is, especially TC - what a tool.

Sounds to me like you're struggling to figure out how to use the dreaded new "Communications Central"! I gotta say, I am not a fan of the new system but the information is all there if you actually look for it instead of expecting to be spoon fed. Stop playing the victim and suck it up! It's reps like you that give all of us a bad name: lazy-never-had-a-real-job-all-i-do-is-complain-about-what-i-don't-even-know!!!!

Apparently the company is also struggling with the new Communications central as well. They email the field the tele info after 7 PM for a 6 PM teleconference. Why did they even bother?

The PP is right- you are an ass. I did a Merck Connect after 5PM and the Communications Central e-mail did not come through until I did another Merck Connect a few hours later which was after the teleconference was long over. If you are what Merck has to offer, no wonder this company has gone so far down the last few years. Maybe they can rectify your status on the next wave of layoffs.

Hopefully eliminating the sales force. How much use is a group of reps selling a "me too" drug as their P1. The more of you gone means more of the real reps are safe.

Another dim bulb allowed on the computer. Explain the term "me too" as it applies to Singulair! I thought most people knew the saying, "it is better to have people think you are fool rather than to open up your mouth and confirm it". Dude, this definitely applies to you. We are all waiting for your explanation.

Record the conference call yourself. It will not be on play back mode. This way you can get the nuances. the S#@% will hit the fan tomorrow with docs and patients.

Make sure you record the teleconference, especially the Q & A, if there is any. That way, you can protect yourselves in case of litigation and you have a record of what you are being asked to spin, er, I meant say.

All the reps in my district are recording the teleconference. We learned our lesson from the Vioxx fiasco. When the laywers listen to that tape you should be ok.

I had a great day today - bringing trust and value to my customers by providing them with all the information about SINGULAIR they need to make informed decisions. You?

You don't know what a "me too" drug is? It's a drug that is no different than the other prescription or OTC medications in your case. Are you saving lives? Halting diseases? Educating physicians on how to help their patients live longer and better lives? No, you are helping with a wunny nose. Wow, what a clinician you are.

TO the above poster, I don't take issue with a lot of the industry bashing but in this case you don't seem to have an understanding of the ORIGINAL purpose of Singulair, which is to control asthma. So, yes, those reps selling Singulair for asthma are actually participating in saving lives by providing info to physicians. I know, I'm one of the many who take Singulair for asthma and it makes a difference in my ability to breathe. So before you bash the product PLEASE walk in my shoes for a few days, then decide if Singulair is a life-saving product. Until then, please refrain from commenting upon something about which you know very little.

I definitely know what a "me-too" drug is, I just do not see how it applies to Singulair. You are an asswipe- Singulair is in a unique class of drugs, different from the H-1s, different from INS, different from mast stabilizers, different from theophylline, different from ICS. You really should expand your knowledge base- you might even impress someone in your life.

BTW- a great example of a "me-too" drug would be Axid. Go look it up. I will tell you that it was the 4th drug of its kind and it never really caught on.

One of my docs showed me a letter fom Dr Anastasia Dafotis, Merck. He commented on how it opened with her stating Merck is pleased to announce the FDA CDER........ He thought it arrogant. What was she thinking?
