Paranoid Average Age Range of Reps...

I heard from a former employee that once you hit 40, you're out... or you are made to feel like you need to leave. Thoughts?

What is a solid age range?

Default Re: Average Age Range of Reps...

I have heard the same thing. Stryker likes to hire young sales reps with no obligations such as a family. They want the job to be number one and everything else in your life 2nd-3rd-4th etc..

I can understand this approach because they demand their reps to work very long hours, be on call and work weekends, holidays etc.. This is a job that would not be best suited for somebody that has a family.

I actually had an interview with Stryker and I explained that while working full time I also went back to school for my MBA, was a trainer and I did this while raising my family. After taht I was basically sent out the door while they said, "next".
