Default Applied lies again

I recently spoke to the rep that replaced me....You won't believe this but he told me Applied lied to him. They lied on income, and what shape the territory was in. He told me he is already looking and hes only been here for a few months.....No one likes a lier....I feel sorry for everyone who works for applied except the shit managers and in house trainers who could not make it in the sales world.

There were 13-15 people in my traing class, all but 2 were lied to. Some members on my sales team told me that they were lied to. Shouldn't we start a class action lawsuit?

Yes they do lie!!!

Two quarter national bonus on a clip applier that they know fails. Real Ethical!

Also new energy device will only fit down Applied 5mm trocars. Hmm I guess the reason for eyes in the back of your head Said, is so that Applied Reps can see when they are getting screwed!

The doc's know it's a socialist company, but management is starting to buy its business.

An oversized energy device to accompany their oversized ports? Obviously, surgeons will love using all EES/USS 8mm ports in accounts where Applied doesn't have the trocar business. Idiotic.

Yeah, try to sue Applied - you are just a stupid sales rep. We will win everytime. Get out and sell some product and shut up - you probably only deserve to make $65,000 - so that's what we are going to pay you!

If you were a better rep and would spend some time in the OR rather than complaining on message boards, you'd be making more than $65K.

Rant Re: Applied lies again

I was with Applied for about 1 1/2 years. The recruiter, DM, and RM misrepresented the position. I was told I would make $120 to $150,000 my first year. I was also told my territory had a lot of room for growth. What they did not tell me was the REASON for growth. My territory had NO business due to failed evaluations. I left a very reputable employer for Applied, then walked into a very bad situation.

Due to very bad product performance and a poor company image, my territory could not grow. Without warning, my DM "demoted" me to a TMA position. That meant less pay, and limited (if any) commissions. I also had to travel to "assist" other TM's for their evaluations. My expenses were not fully reimbursed (as promised in the interview process.) Yet I was expected to put everything on my personal credit card.

During the interview process to get away from this company, every hiring manager stated what a horrible, unethical, sleezy company Applied was. Fortunately, I didnt have to mention this and look like a disgruntled employee. I just accepted the situation because I knew Applied's tactics. If I said anything, I would be terminated. As we all know, its easier to find employment when you are employed vs unemployed.

It seems certain people are protected at Applied. The best day of my life was when I left such a dishonest organization.

I wonder if we could get a group of people together to form a class action lawsuit regarding the following facts:
1. Misrepresentation of position in the interview.
2. Misrepresentation of average salary.
3. Hiring people for TM positions and demoting without warning.
4. Not paying commissions when earned.
5. Not fully reimbursing company expenses when on "temporary" reassignment for evaluations.
6. Promoting employees from TMA positions to TM positions WITHOUT increasing base salary to TM pay.

Please talk to people within the organization (as well as those who have left) and see if enough could come forward to help change the structure of this evil organization.

So how'd that anti-trust lawsuit go against J&J? Or, would you like to take a moment to amend your: "we win everytime" statement? And how's your lawsuit with Covidien going? Oops, didn't mean to make you choke on your koolaid.

Why don't you collective losers stop complaining. I manage in the West. I earned this job through hard work and hitting my numbers. You pathetic non-achievers stop complaining and perhaps then, you could hit your numbers. I faced the same challenges in the field. Guess what, it is competitive out there. Stop hanging in Starbucks, start selling - not complaining - and then, perhaps just then, you will see what I set out to do; to be successful. If not, put on a Huggies, and cry your way to unemployment checks.

You are full of crap. Also, Applied does not have any quality managers in the west. Another point, most of the people who have had success at Applied were in a low market share territory, walked into hospitals with their pants arounds there knees and said " are my pants low enough, if not I can lower the price another 20% " It is sad to say but Applied Medical is a company with NO ethics or morals, and you mr manager are one of the people who happens to be the problem

I always sold at list price. I was the difference in value added due to my excellent and respected relationship with my surgeons. I wear scrubs with suspenders, have never had to drop them, unlike your sad asses.

Why do you guys get so pissy about lowering the price of a product? What the hell is wrong with that? Being able to offer a lower price is what the market wants right now.

So shut the hell up and get your ass out of the OR so I can get in there and convert that account.

Because a 5 year old could sell anything by lowering the price you pathetic loser. I sell based on relationships, expertise, and my good OR looks. You show up in my OR's and they will immediately escort your pie hole out of said facility.

Who's the tool you moron? You stated "we never lose." You didn't qualify number of years, you said NEVER. How'd that suit against Covidien go a few years ago. Sounds like you might be a little loose with facts. Unfortunately that can kill people in this line of business, but then again we'll chalk that up to your stellar training program and high ethical "burp" standards.

Now crawl back under you manager and get back to work.

Who's the tool now? How's this for recent history? Wanna rephrase ALWAYS WIN?

Judge upholds $5 million Covidien win against Applied Medical
May 20, 2010 by MassDevice staff

A federal judge in Texas upholds a $4.8 million decision against Applied Medical Resources Corp. in a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Covidien plc over laparoscopic trocars.
COV, Applied logos

A federal judge in Texas upheld a $4.8 million verdict from Texas jury in a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Covidien plc (NYSE:COV) against Applied Medical Resources Corp. but denied Covidien's bid for a permanent injunction against future sales of the infringing products.

A jury in the U.S. District Court for Eastern Texas sided with Covidien March 22, awarding damages of $4.8 million in a dispute over Norwalk, Conn.-based AMR's Kii and Universal Seal laparoscopic trocars. Covidien, which filed the suit under the name of its corporate predecessor Tyco Healthcare Group, alleged that the devices infringed five of its patents. The jury agreed that AMR's products infringed one of those patents, "Valve System For Cannula Assembly," and AMR admitted to infringing another patent, for "Valve System For Introducing Objects Into Anatomical Body Portions." Covidien decided to drop the remaining three patents from the trial, according to spokesman David Young.

AMR fought back in April, asking Judge Keith Giblin to rule that Covidien didn't supply enough evidence to support the jury's verdict. For its part, Covidien asked Giblin for a permanent injunction "barring Applied from making, using, offering to sell, or selling in the United States, or importing into the United States" any products the jury found to infringe its patent. Covidien also asked the judge to award pre- and post-judgment interest on the $4.8 million verdict.

In a May 17 decision, Giblin shot down AMR's move to set the jury verdict aside, but also ruled against Covidien's permanent injunction bid. Giblin decided for Covidien on the question of interest, assessed at the prime interest rate, compounded quarterly, from Feb. 3, 2004, "through the date judgment is entered," according to court documents.

I recently left Applied and will keep close to my contacts just waiting for Dennis Groshans to take it up the ass in the unemployment line. Some really good people at the sales level but run by a bunch of clueless dildo's who spend way too much time in meetings circle jerking each other and actually buying into thier own bullshit. TMA's, get your experience and get out as quick as you can. TM's, what are you waiting for?

Lol Re: Applied lies again

I get the $ I have been promised including every penny of expenses, I hit my numbers, my mgrs live up to their words...I sell on product not pricing..and yes lower pricing helps. A trocar is a tube that allows instruments to enter and prevent pneumo from escaping...why should a single trocar cost $90...why not $50? Yeah...the clip applier needs some modifications...we are aware of that...I dont sell them ...yet....We crushed the market with the Gel Port...by the way....the Ethicon disc...is a joke..even Ethicons production managers feel that pinch...thats why they dont make as many as will other products coming soon...Applied is taking over market share as they did with Gel Port..doing with trocars...and we will do the same with Gel Point...two going on three successes...dont hate the playas...hate the game. Take a Xyanx..because we're about to cause Ethicon and Covidien some awful anxiety...my bad...according to these wack posts...anxiety has already kicked in...better get out the crack pipe...no drug will really help you...sell sell sell..
