Argue Empi. Who is leaving next?

So we all know that Empi brings in about 4 times the revenue of CMF. My question is when are we going to start getting paid like them. How many Empi reps have to leave before the assholes uptop start to take notice and wonder what the he'll is going on.

Whoever posted that stuff about presidents club was right on.

The 5 or 6 reps I talk to regularly are all looking and interviewing with other companies. Corporate thinks the numbers arw bad now. Just wait. The mass exodus hasn't even begun.

We are underpaid and with no CONSISTANT direction. DJO needs to change something fast. The numbers tbis month are just the tip of the iceberg of whTa to come.

Who do u work for.... One joke of a company,'Ummmm I mean DJO.

Watch what happens when this pilot program slowly rolls out to other regions. Reps will leave and the numbers will dwindle down one by one. It could quite possibly be the demise of the company. They think the numbers are bad now. How arw they going to grow with new reps coming in. You aren't just gonna pick up the old
Business, you're gonna lose business.

Look how many people have left. And look at how reps we know are already that arw interviewing else where.

What is the comp plan? How bad is it in this division? High rate of attrition?

Jester Re: Empi. Who is leaving next?

Funny u mentionEd the double dipping. I know one rep thats with Empi that works for 2 other Companies. One product line is supplies (whT we used to have). The other line is spinal hardware. He has no choice. We are so underpaid it's the only wAy to get ahead. He's one of th BIG hitters at Empi. WhAt ever he carries the accounts will only buy from him. It the relationships he has.

I know of 2 other reps doing the same things except they competitive products against DJO. Yep. Their making some serious bucks right under DJO's noses.

This company is SCRAMBLING. So many reps are leaving. I heard from someone that a manager is asking their reps for their top of accounts and their conctacts name in that office. Right. I am sure the reps are giving these jackasses the right info. If Mike L*f***** and Brad N****n would get off their asses things may change. Get in the fields with your reps And see whT it is they do. Make more than one call with ur reps. Drive with a couple diff reps across the country for 3 mike and brad were reps.... dinasaur years ago. Shit happenS. The market has changed. Get off your ass and learn whT it is. Stop making the reps fill out MORE and MORE paperwork. Stop having more and more conference call. And stop trying to use reports to justify your jobs. What exactly do ML and BN do anyway?

Oh almost forgot.... Who do u work for?
- a company that brings in a billion dollars in revenue.
- a company tbat Hires a shit load of marketers that don't do anything.
- Pay the true salemen/ money makers (Empi) the less the CMF ( a division that does a 1/3 of what Empi does).
- a company that has no direction and changes it mind more than the average American changes their underwear

So wo do we work for....
D-J-loosing ground quickly-O

Rant Re: Empi. Who is leaving next?

Man, this is great stuff! glad to know i'm not the only one feeling this way about our company. The sad thing is i've talked to two reps who work for local dme companies and they both w-2 almost doubled what i brought home this past year. unbelievable when i supposedly work for the world leader. so before any of you take a job with this company, be prepared to frequent your local check cashing/title loan stores for an advance.

Of course, Empi is putting a customer survey in all their customer communications now, so it will all get better real soon.

Unfortunately I'm sure the customers have no idea that the reps are constantly being screwed by DJO because the reps work their asses off and they are the only reason DJO still has business. If DJO had to communicate with customers and did it they way they communicate with their sales force they would be out of business because the customer would not put up with it. DJO needs to think long and hard about how they treat the sales force or they won't have a very good one very soon!!!

We should all leave next. Better yet we should all walk out in protest if BN is still running this thing come the national sales meeting. Do we really want to sit through another 3 days of over paid executives like BN telling us how they know it's been a tough year and thanks for hanging in there. Things will be better in 2012 if we just follow his plan. I call BS same story yet another year with no changes. How long are we going to allow them to string us along while they bank on the fact that nothing needs to change because they feel like we have nowhere to go? How long are we going to sit back and let them take advantage of us? The sad truth is DJO is a great company just in a black of of poor leadership right now.

Rant Re: Empi. Who is leaving next?

Well, another year...another executive...how many have we been through over the last decade...sheesh. Wonder if Mike L****** or Rich S**** will have the courage to step into the trap...hmmm. They have been very strategic with staying out of harms way.
And doesn't it stink to see the quarterly statements...geez...even Mogul states..."While we are disappointed with the sales results of our Empi business unit, and very focused on addressing opportunities to improve Empi's results, we are very pleased to see the remaining DJO businesses deliver aggregate constant currency, pro forma net sales growth of 5.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011."
What kind of motivation does he think this is? Go ahead and get your resumes out there now. Even Mogul doesn't understand the e-stim industry. Adios

This company, for which I am currently employed, treats its employees, namely sales reps, like absolute garbage. Each sales rep, at least on the RS side, is responsible for the job/tasks of 3-4 people--a sales person, a marketing person, a support/secretary staff, and a fitter. For the amount of money this company pays you (pennies, frankly) you would be better off taking up full-time employment at Target because at Target at least you will have set hours/times in which you work and when you are off, you are off.

This sales rep job has taken over my life--fitting patients, being my own secretary, doing endless amounts of POINTLESS reports (and I mean POINTLESS). The management, namely the people reps directly report to are HORRIBLE. I have never seen a bigger discrepancy in talent as is seen in the RD position here at DJO--do these people even have college educations? Horrible leaders. No one listens, no one cares. Frankly, this company has proven to me why it is so bad--it cannot get out of its own way. It has poor leadership from the bottom to the top and representatives are treated like slaves. Having been in a variety of sales positions in the medical industry prior, I have NEVER seen a role where you are REQUIRED to do so much BS work (paperwork, follow up, fitting, chasing patients etc) and see very little result, revenue or commission.

Please, don't take me as a basher/hater/bitter whatever you want to call me, I am simply speaking the truth and hoping to save one person from coming on and working for this company which is by far and away the worst medical device company I have ever seen; let alone worked for.

Do not take a job with this company, you will definitely regret that decision. It is just a bad idea. You could go into surgical ortho and make a ton more money and work the same hours, or you could stay in pharma and make a ton more money and work way less hours.

This is a bad place to be. I am sorry, it has to be said.

Did mommy and daddy pay for your schooling? I'm sure that partially explains your sense of entitlement and thinking that you don't have to work to make money. Go work for Target and quit bringing the rest of us hard working reps down. DJO is a good company with mainly good people, you're going to find good and bad RDs at any company. You also need to take some accountability yourself.

Sounds like someone got fired from DJO and is a little bitter about the RD who fired them. Good luck at Target! With your work ethic you should be able to work your way up from cashier to stock boy in no time.

Having worked at DJO before, this statement can only be made by someone who has never worked at a top medical device company. DJO has a few good products across all divisions but you would be hard pressed to say it is one of the better companies out there in the device sector.

Honestly, the commission rate has some sort of complex sliding scale that you need to be a CPA to understand.

Just plan on making somewhere between 50k-100k, averaging around 75k if you are going to be an "EMPI", which isn't even just EMPI anymore, rep.

Empi now sells CMF and CMF now sells Empi. Talk about a cluster, yes it sure is.

Again, I would not take a job at this company. Learn from others' mistakes and steer yourself away from accepting a position at DJO, it's just not a very good career move.
