Arms LabCorp may be bought out

This is why we do not need to sell. We are in the drivers seat. Just keep doing what we are doing and get ready for a lot more volume.

Now we know what they have been up to.
Let's hope we get to keep or jobs when this happens.

The odds of LabCorp getting bought out are very slim. Just remember that the company that bought Solstas did so with the complete intent of selling Solstas and not managing it. The are going to sell Solstas off, its only a matter of time so just get prepared. They would love to sell off Solstas to LabCorp or Quest as they are the most likely to overpay. LabCorp doesn't want Quest to buy Solstas as it would give them a jumpstart in the Southeast where LabCorp has been so strong which is exactly why Quest would love to have the business. The only other potential buyer that is in the lab industry currently is Sonic but they have not been making purchases this large.

Quest had a agreed upon deal to buy Spectrum when Welsh Carson came in at the last minute and bought them. WCAS got the deal, in part, because some of the principle owners of Spectrum retained an ownership stake.

Quest would live to purchase Solstas.

LabCorp had even told many of their people that they were going to buy Carilion so its going to be interesting to see who buy Solstas in the end when WCAS wants to get their money out. I bet that they already have offers from both LabCorp and Quest but WCAS are holdiong out for more money and to determine what company that they want to buy and sell next for a lot of money.

It will be interesting. Solstas is simply trying to stabilize itself at this point. The rapid flurry of buyouts has stopped and the footprint is pretty well set. Solstas has aligned its Operations to mirror a Quest or Labcorp to make itself more attractive from an ease of integration aspect.

Solstas has ALOT of operational fat that either QDX or LCA will look to trim immediately. Probably 20% of phlebotomists will be pulled out of offices in the first 6 months after takeover.

If you're a fulltime IOP and your office is not doing a minimum of $15,000/month net revenue then your hours will be cut or you'll be pulled within 2 months of takeover. Period.
