Default 2013 Layoffs

Inspec RD left this week. Spec and Inspec reps leaving as well. Any inside info on if and when these two divisions are going down?

This clown is right. BI is not telling you how bad the lawsuites are. Biggest in Pharma Litigation history. Real bad. 4000 people at $100,000=$400,000,000.

It is 1000 people.

The drug has been under attack by physicians groups and patient advocates since 3,781 adverse effects and 542 deaths associated with Pradaxa were reported last year to the Food and Drug Administration. Its adverse reports and deaths surpassed all other monitored drugs. The FDA is now conducting a safety review of the drug, which millions of people around the country take twice a day.

Yeah stupid. They completed their review and made a statement that bleeding with Pradaxa is not worse than with warfarin. As expected! It was covered by main stream media too, so get your head out of your ass, and keep up to date.

So do ALL bleeds need a reversal agent or they completely bleed out and die, Schmarty-marty?

Oh, make sure you review some medline papers in your 150 cases, you might not like your answers.

Thank you.
Answered my point. Now answer me this, which drug, warfarin or pradaxa, statistically significantly demostrated less hemorrhagic strokes? Need help?
Hints :
Its the only new anti*coag with a 1A class recommendation to reduce stroke
Its the only new "" with superiority labeling from the fda.
Its the only new "" that was NEVeR delayed by the fda

You claim to be smart, so that's all u get.
But, i got a ton more.

No strokes

Worried Re: 2013 Layoffs

"It's going to be one of the larger mass torts in the history of the United States," said Ryan L. Thompson, attorney with Watts Guerra Craft, who is working on scores of cases including Jackson's, with a team of 70 employees dedicated to the Pradaxa suit.

Just heard from a friend that works in HR. Another "realignment" is going to happen, probably in the spring. Not particular to a certain sales force. All will be affected, probably most with Pradaxa in the bag. I think we can all see the focus of the company is moving more towards respiratory and hoping the new oncology drugs do well. This same person gave me the heads up on the last realignment as well.

Why would the Cardio Specialty reps and Inspecs. be going to a special meeting in March, and why would they have hired all those regional reps?

It's wierd they would be going to a meeting ominously titled POA. Something is definitely afoot. I'd quit now before so you won't have to go to it.

There are way too many reps at BI. It is a waste to have PC reps, specialty, Inspector, and Senior Care. A rep could handle the multiple zip codes by himself. So archaic at BI. Then again BI hires the bottom of the barrel.

Most companies have already moved to more of a hybrid zip code model. BI most definitely needs to look at structure of sales force and unfortunately that will likely mean cuts.

Hmmmm, it's a bit of déjà vu! I seem to recall a month or so before our last realignment people were "poo-pooing" the layoff rumor that was started on CP! Trust me I don't want to be out of a job but when this company decided to move backwards and put more reps in a "cluster", "pod" or whatever you want to call it that was just a poor decision. More reps calling on the same docs is not the answer. I understand the rationale of portfolio selling but docs don't care! All they see is another BI rep! A lot of geographies I am sure could be managed by one or two reps, not 4,5 or 6!

I get that we don't need the number of reps we have, I just don't understand the whole regional rep thing in light of a layoff.

Nothing makes sense anymore. If you are going to have allll these PC reps why not just have 1 rep per prod. Hold that rep accountable PERIOD. You don't perform Your Out. No instead you lose or displace great reps in the process. Please 4,5,6 reps in the same area for Pradaxa. Its like a free for all. If there were more jobs out there people would be leaving in droves.
