Default AMS

I got a call from a recruiter about a position with this company. Currently specialty rep calling on gastros and urologists. Not too familiar with device industry, I understand what products they promote, but their stock is at 19.32- not too great. I understand the objective issues with the company (products, disease states, pipeline and company overview), but looking for help with subjective...reputation in industry? work/life balance? is it a brokerage like position? Any information would be helpful~ Thanks in advance!

I do not know exactly what type of position you are looking at but I know several AMS reps and they are very happy. They have great work/life balance, best in class products, great compensation, great company reputation with Urologist. A couple of these people jumped from specialty pharma sales and they could not be happier. I would take a closer look and ask your Urologist what they think about the products and company.

Take it from a device rep-JUMP ON IT...Good rep, good company, it can take you places. Wish I had the op in my area.

AMS used to be a great company. Still has great products, but the company is a piece of shit. I just left. The average tenure of product managers is two years. They have fired many formly happy tenured reps. If you are lucky, you might get a good manager. It happens. But the company is increasingly running people off because it couldn't give a fuck about you.
