Article was released last Friday on Seeking alpha. 3m makes Dulera's inhaler too. Why was Mother Merck not smart enough to license this awesome DPI technology. Dulera in this device could've been considered a branded generic alternative,...but what do I know.
In defense of Mother, this decision was made by legacy S/P. Not suggesting that Merck would have been any smarter though.
Riker Labs came out with the first MDI (metered dose inhalers) in 1955. The company was bought by 3M Healthcare. Riker Labs don't have a lot of products but it is making quite a decent profit as a contract manufacturer for inhaler devices.
