Challenge: All Lupron \"Haters\" Invited
I'm getting a little sick of seeing Lupron posts from people who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. It's very easy to read a newspaper, or listen to management from another pharma company and say, "Oh, TAP ripped off the government and got away with it....Scumbags". But the fact of the matter is, the practices employed were being done by others selling meds administered in docs' offices. So here's your challenge:
Create a post that articulates clearly and specifically what the defendants did that was illegal and/or immoral. You need to be very specific what those actions were. It appears more than a few could use some perspective on what was actually done.

Are you serious? I work for TAP and think you are retarded. You don't have well thought out debates on CP. You flame people and get out of here. You do it just so it festers in some people to watch them go crazy..... sound like anyone you know? Save your debates for someone with intelligence, not someone who posts on CP!

Who cares about the lawsuit. I left Lupron over a year ago - I always say nice things about the drug - best in class. My problem is with the company and the fucking moron management team - ie - the NE region mgr (not to mention names - JB you are a fucking retard). The "commitment to urology" theme is the most pitiful strategy in the history of sales. Idiots!!!!!!!! And so is that balanced score card. Please tell me you are not still required to do that - what a joke!! I know all of you agree with me, and for those who don't are full of shit!!!

JB- the blonde surfer, not the old female, high pants rm, is the dumbest person at TAP. He may even be the dumbest rm in the NE of ANY pharma company.

OP here!! So the TAP or ex-TAP people who post don't like management. Yah, I get it! Not really the point of the thread.
My point is made fairly well though, by the fact that nobody charging the "criminals" can articulate what their "crimes against humanity" are.

How bout this one: doctor, my kids got an extra Play Station 2 for Xmas and since we don't have the receipt, we can't take it back. How about you hang onto it for me and if I need it back, I'll let you know. True story.

Re: Challenge: All Lupron \"Haters\" Invited
Here's what most of us did that was illegal and immoral. We rewarded doctors with samples for drug based on set number of kits bought. We knew that they were billing for it, did not keep a record of the samples that had and seperate them out from the ordered stock, and never really backed down from the practice of doing this until the feds stepped in and started questioning docs. TAP has a patient assistance program and always did- so why sample when insurance pays for it.
It's also illegal to supply samples to offset the cost the of drug. In a lot of gyn offices we had women with co-pays of $100+ a shot. The docs would have the patient pay for a couple months and then we would get samples for the rest. The gyns slid under the radar since reimbursment was so low and most of it wasn't gov't payor. Oh yeah, and we did teach the offices how to bill to make money on the drug. That's not immoral?

Showing the office correct billing is not immoral. If you paid out $15,000 a month for medicine I would expect that you would want to learn the correct way to get reimbursed.
I kept track of the "free samples" , I had names for every kit that went out the door. If you remember, they weren't for patient assistance, they were starter kits. The same thing that every company has done including Zoladex. At NO time did I or anyone I know suggest to doctors that they bill Medicare or insurances. The courts agree with me. If you knew something illegal was going on why didn't you say something?

Oh Zoladex was doing it too, well that's different since they haven't gotten into any trouble....... I mean their fine wasn't nearly as big as ours. You're right, the entire drug industry in centered around pure altruism and the ideal of helping people. Get real, just b/c you weren't one of the really bad apples doesn't mean the rest of the company is as innocent as you. I would be willing to bet that some of the worst offenses didn't even surface.

No where did I say that the business is altruistic. You are setting up a straw man so that you can knock it down. You continue to make allegations: you bet the worst offenses didn't surface, the rest of the company could have been doing it - but supply no support for these charges. In fact everything points to nothing happening. On one side we have your accusations and on the other we me, a Lupron rep with TAP at the time and we have a 5 year investigation by multiple parts of the government with a verdict saying that no one had done anything illegal. I think the weight of the evidence points to you being incorrect in your assumption that everyone was doing it and the worst cases didn't come out. But don't let the facts get in the way. http://www.cafepharma.com/ubbthreads...lins/crazy.gif

JB is an asshole. It all comes down to staying away from him at all cost. If you see him, be as positive as possible and when he walks away, do everything you can not to kick him in his big fat ass in his to tight to see pants with his tighty whitey underpants holding up his micro penis that has been laughed at by at least 9 reps that I know about. But be careful because who ever gets to HR first, wins. NO matter what. And with all of his experience, he's real good friends with the HR dept.
Happy New Year
