Default Where oh where can the FDA be?

I've read too many posts of supposed off-label practices. If things are as bad as some of you suggest, I would suppose that the FDA would be all over it. I've even heard of them bugging national sales meetings. Come on. They're not interested so just let it go. The only sad thing is that other companies don't follow suit so that more reps can make good money. Maybe many of you suffer from a severe form of jealousy. If so, we probably have something for that too.

Don't worry, things will happen soon enough.

Let the FDA stuff go already. I bet those of you that left after they showed up at our National Meeting are kicking yourselves now. They show up and the stock soars to $80+++. Let that be a lesson to stay clear of the Feds. Some of you could have been millionaires. I wonder how you feel now.

you are clearly clueless when it comes to being investigated..It is not the FDA you should fear but the US ATTORNEY who issued subeonas in Septmber 04.Parke Davis/Pfizer paid out 430 million after being under investigation for 4yrs...

As if you really know. Give me a break. It took the FDA 8 years to settle the Pfizer case and that's only because Pfizer wanted to make it go away. Had they decided to challenge the FDA via the court system, it would have taken several more years not to mention appeals. $450 million dollars is a drop in the bucket. All companies know that the worst case scenario would be a fine which will always pale in comparison to the huge revenues generated by any off label sales. Besides that, how many execs, field managers, reps, etc went to jail for their horrific cimes? The answer is zero. As will be the case here.

September 04 - what is it now? It's been a year and a half with about a decade to go. By that time those guilty of any wrongdoing will be gone with millions to themselves. Have you looked at the stock price lately? Obviously anybody that knows anything about this realizes that nothing will ever be done. I just feel sorry for those fools that jumped ship because they got scared or were singled out. $$$$$$$!!!!!!!

Hey this may be stupid but do they actually have laws against promoting off-label or are they just guidelines? If so why don't people go to jail but rather just get fined? Is it because they can't actually prove it? Leaving it up to a company to follow the spirit of the law seems silly unless there aren't any laws. It sure would be nice if the IRS operated that way. My bonuses are almost cut in half. Leave it up to me and I'd pay a lot less.

This is why we don't carry medical information but can have it sent when requested by a physician. If you don't promote off-label but respond to off-label questions then you are fine.

I am busy cashing in my stock options what was the question again?
Enough with the "rep went to jail" BS-everyone knows it is an Urban Legend. Can you name one rep that is in jail? Of course there is that guy who used to have a territory somewhere back whenever.
Read the book "Hard Sell" from the Pfizer rep. All off-label sales, wrote a book about it, and not in court yet. Get a grip!
