Monday Surprise
Do you think we could be in for a surprise on Monday? Like maybe they will announce that there is a new contract and we will start getting training material sometime in april? I will be surprised by whatever they say actually. This has been a roller coaster ride over the past 3 to 4 months. I remember complaining about the over load of work and now look where we are, ZERO to less work.

Re: Monday Surprise
I doubt that. They couldn't contain themselves if they had a new contract. I heard that Visine will conclude very, very soon, I think that will be announced.

Re: Monday Surprise
I heard the same thing. Maybe that's why we didn't get any more samples of visine. I think the big surprise is, we are laid off and we will be give instructions on what and how to return all the equipment. They have the room now that they emptied out the warehouse.

Re: Monday Surprise
Well you will need them for your dried eyes after filling out unemployment papers or on the computer finding work. I had to tell the gardner that I need to cut back and only come once a month and I'll do the rest myself. This could be a great way to lose those extra pounds from winter. I guess Monday is the big day and what ever surprise they have for us we will have to live with.

Re: Monday Surprise
There is no surprise we are all unemployed by April 15th unless we have a contract which won't happen.

Re: Monday Surprise
I have heard the same thing. I think the 15th is the drop dead date. There is no new contract per my DM. They just want to wrap up what we have and zero out our inventory. I have already started throwing away material. It's over.

Listen, the InServe group was dropped like a "hot potato" last year with little to no notice to those affected. Beware!

Re: Monday Surprise
Why do I think that your post (9:47) is a tongue in cheek? If that all is true I will soil my pants upon hearing that news. Well we do have a job Monday morning and probably Monday afternoon as we are told to start emptying the closests and packing up the old relic and get it to the ups store and send it back. If that's the case, how will they pay us for our time? They can't say our call rate pays for it cause we have no calls. I guess it will be very important to sync so that we can see our list for April. Yesterday I got a envelope with ONE PDI sample compliance form, you know the one you use to send samples to other reps or back to home office. Sent a couple of zonalon sales aids and that was my entire order. Now if that isn't the first hint of things to come. I guess I should have saved boxes to pack up my computer. Now how do we do an expense report after we send back our computers? Oh well, all this will be explained on Monday.

Re: Monday Surprise
Who ever has the first conference call on Monday, let us know the inside scoop so when we get our conference calls we won't be falling off of our chairs. I assume most will be on CafePharma during the call, just like all the rest. Good Luck everyone!

Re: Monday Surprise
Pardon me for posting here as I am from PDI Dedicated, but I know what you are going through. PDI dropped the layoff notice on us not long ago...some 900 will be out of work on 5/1..as the AZ contracts get canceled.
I hope your fate and anxiety over the upcoming conference call will have a better outcome. However I've watched PDI deteriorate over the last 6 yrs to a 2nd rate company with absolutely little regard for their most important asset: sales reps. I suggest you move on to another situation where you are properly compensated for your work... and have some job stability. Good Luck.

Re: Monday Surprise
It's strange, the whole sales force, dedicated and shared are all in the same sinking ship. PDI will be a memory in a few months. I never thought I'd see this day come. I am an old timer with shared and I just wanted to finish off my working days at PDI, making enough till I was ready to fully retire. What a jolt this is. How did it come to this? Poor management and big payouts to top dogs? Thanks dedicated for your kind words, It's too bad we are all sunk.

I agree with the trash remark. Use us and throw us away. Get brand new ones to replace us. What a company.........

Re: Monday Surprise
Well the only surprise this Monday was that they want us to keep working. Training should start in June for a possible new contract. That's if they get the new contract. Basically we are sunk. There was nothing new except what we already know, no work. And the rumors about the 15th being the drop dead date, never mentioned. Boy talk about rumors and dm's misleading reps. They really want us to hang in there. And it sounds like the west coast was the only ones not paid for Zonalon training in Nov.

Re: Monday Surprise
I think as soon as we reach to 9000 call mark on Visine, it will be done, so get your calls in if you want to get paid for them. They dont' want to tell us that, they want their sales force to hang around and be there when the do get a contract.

Re: Monday Surprise
I think the surprise is, we are being held in place till they find out one way or another if there is a new contract. They can't really think people are going to hang on with so little work can they till Sept/Oct. I wanted a vacation but I can't afford that long a period with or without unemployment.

Re: Monday Surprise
I'm going to get my calls done this week, file for unemployment and when they call me back to work, if the contract is crap, just quit. My husband agrees!

Re: Monday Surprise
Well I guess we know the answer about Tamiflu, never gonna see samples. Can't you just hardly wait for the fall when we can start this maddness all over again? I am in big trouble, threw away all my stuff for everything except what I still have calls for. I am not a storage unit and I need the space for my own stuff. If I left that sitting in the garage or office, my husband would kill me. Now he is so happy that we have space, I can only imagine what he would say if it sat there for months along with me. They can't be serious about us storing things like that. Check your bayer, it's about to expire next month, if you still have any. It helped me get into offices the past month.

Re: Monday Surprise
Bayer was the only reason I got in. Not an option in September. Many did the same thing. If they think call results were low when we are all using Bayer, just imagine how bad it will be in September should we survive till then.

Re: Monday Surprise
I dug up what ever samples I could find to get into the offices. After a while, the pens and kleenex didn't make it. Most doctors said that flu season ended early this year and they just didn't see that many cases. So much on tv about bird flu that most got shots. Well Monday was a surprise; we are still expected to be loyal to the company store. 16 tons and what do you get, another year older and deeper in debt.
