The drug Campral, approved two years ago to treat alcoholism, works no better than a placebo in reducing the craving for alcohol, according to a study

Re: oh oh
You obviously don't sell it. 17 of 18 clinical studies show a difference. As Forest has said, this combine study was a single study point, and for those who have any intelligence, it is referred to as an outlier.
Similar to the panic study for lexapro, a single study site had erratic data, though other locations showed signifance. Now are you going to tell me lexapro doesn't work for these patients? Or do you take the study at 100% face value?
I could care less what a study says, as long as my docs are writing it and belive it works.
Go back to your own board you stupid Vivitrol rep. I have already been bashing your product and it's $700 price tag per month.

Why would you "bash" any product that brings some hope or solution for people who are trying to find help for their addiction? Typical Forest sales rep. who only looks at their needs and not the needs of others. It's time to grow up...

Re: oh oh
Are you kidding, bash a product that could help people? YOUR INJECTIBLE IS A GENERIC!!! I am helping people by promoting the combination of ORAL/GENERIC naltrexone, not your overpriced $600/mo med!
I am helping by saving patients money and avoid using your med. Lets see, same product as an oral generic = $15/mo. OR the same product as an injectible = $600/mo.
All my psychs have blown off the rep here. So glad I blew off the recruiter when he called about a year ago. So glad I only think of myself, at least I'll have a job in a year.

Where are you located? Some of my psyches have been "blowing me off" and it would be good to know it's not me--it's something YOU said. Man, I wish my doctors would just do whatever I tell them like they do for you.
Good job!

Do you really think I would ever tell you where I am?
And psychs don't blow you off b/c of me, they ignore you because your product is ridiculous. Shall I rehash again...
And my docs do respect what I tell them and trust what I have to say. However, I do not tell them what to do.
And to the previous poster, no I did not go for the job, because you were right, I did not need it. Thaks for the accolades!

If you don't understand why Vivitrol is the best medicinal treatment on the market, then you don't understand alcohol dependence.
If you don't understand why the writing is on the wall for Crapral...holy shit you're stupid.

What I understand...
Vivitrol = generic naltrexone in a nifty injectible form, take a $10 generic, make it $800, nice
Campral = novel compound, nothing like it, dosing may suck, but use it BID doc, insurance covers, $50 copay max, oh and it actually addresses MOA of alcohol dependence
Your studies allowed drinking. Ask any psych or addicition counselor and they'll tell you its an all or nothing disease. Way to go. That's really treating a disease, or do you mean reducing? How it that possible? Can you have just a "little" of the AIDS virus, or just a little cocaine? How about being a little gay and taking it up the ass. Either you are a butt pirate or your are not.
And COMBINE did NOT use vivitrol, it used oral naltrexone. Wrond dose, wrong form of med, etc. Go do your own study, then we'll talk.
Keep bending over.... being just a little gay

The studies allowed drinking because that IS real world. Vivitrols studies kick the shit out of your drug. Can I get a copy of the campral study that was set up like the Vivitrol trial. I hear it did not even do as well as placebo. I could really use a copy in the field.]

Waahhh wahhh, I am still kicking ass and taking names. Most of my docs think that stupid cunt vivitrol rep is pushy anyway. You guys are big heaps of shit. Next on the plate ... cocaine, benzos, etc. I am just getting started. Thank your little dicks that I am not your Forest competition, I heard the vivitrol rep in my area is going to quit b/c of my sweet skills.
Everytime I see a vivitrol marketing piece near my samples I laugh, and then rip it down.

I don't believe you. How much, exactly, per quarter or per year, does Campral make you?
All Campral reps have other products, so I don't want to hear how much money you made this year or this quarter. How much did CAMPRAL, alone, put in your wallet?

Re: oh oh
My 1st Quarter payout (that we received on September 20) was $7333. The Campral portion of this was $3100. Obviously I had a mediocre quarter for Lexapro and Namenda, but Campral helped keep my b&c check respectable.

I seriously am not trying to be mean or condescending, but this is not a lot of money.
Why don't you guys just let it go? Is it really worth your time to even sell this product? When I first came into the field, it was like the Forest reps had my docs hypnotized. It took about 9 months to break the spell, but everyone has finally come to their senses, saying,
"Wait a minute, THREE times a day? For an ADDICT? WTF was i thinking? Nobody is taking these these horse pill fart machines 3x per day."
Really the only thing good about Campral is the giveaways. Lots of cool pens and highlight holders and shit like that. Those are great.
But the actual drug sucks donkey balls.

Well, we finally got an answer to that question. April 1st. No more samples, lunches, or promotion to outpatient PCPs or Psyches for Campral. Only hospital reps will carry Crapral now.
I wonder how much the 6 tablet per day fart machine will be prescribed now that you slimeballs aren't there to pay off speakers?
Now that you won't be selling it anymore, will you finally admit that it's a shitty product?

Re: oh oh
I found this while researching Vivitrol. I take this medication. I could not take the oral form of naltrexone due to massive naseau, and as a result, non-compliance. I will tell you that other than pain at the injection site for a couple weeks, this drug is the only thing that gives me hope. I find it sad that people who have never tried it think they can simply bash it. What a sad little person you are.
