    Plenty of research has been done on the STAR ankle. Only a small handful of those studies show favorable long term results. Guess who published those papers? Surgeons who are on STARs payroll. Take a look at a paper put out by Roukis a few years ago where he looked at every paper ever published about the STAR ankle from every country, then come back in here and post about "91% survival rate at 12 years".

    "Bought and paid for".. SBi should team with Arthrex. The BS would be epic.

    Arthrex is currently short on cash. They are too busy paying for several hefty lawsuits.

    What was the reason for failure? Implant loosening? You realize the STAR was never released in the US with a HA Coated stem right. Poly Wear? Poly wear was in Canada very early on, SBi changed the poly when this happened (way before it became FDA approved in the US). So you're saying SBi or the surgeons involved in the study doctored the results?

    If it was your ankle what implant would you want?
