Just like the previuos cloaked attempt by Convatec to both quell the internal unrest and also try to create some external interest to buy this pathetic company.

Hello, it isn't working. We all know there are no viable buyers out there, and if you read this article carefully, they (Convatec) are not actually saying that there is. They are just trying to build interest saying the window of opportunity may be closing so act fast. Every company has PR Firms that can make these articles happen and look like the said company was not involved or behind it.

Interesting announcement from RSMs to their teams; if anyone is thinking of leaving or putting their resumes out, please talk to your RSM or VP first. REALLY, talk to you first? You are the reason we are leaving....as well as MV and above. Yet, previous employees that talked to management about not being happy etc, were fired even while they were long term employees and doing well. Warning, if you are unhappy and plan on looking, or are looking - just do it. Find that exit and take it.

Once again, this is hilarious Convatec (aka " the people"). While attempting to make this look like it is someone outside of Convatec providing the content, the insight on Convatec's soon to be released earnings and the same old spin, makes this just another poorly veiled attempt to create interest from buyers they are trying to lure in. Also, a message to employees who are finally seeing the fading light of hope....please don't quit ( we really need butts in the seats to sell this place - sorry we fired so many). People leaving left and right and interviewing daily.

"The people" aka Convatec. Now that is funny isn't it. How stupid are we? Clearly submitted by people from Convatec or Avista - Capital Partners.

Knowing the Convatec PR bus is behind this makes it just as believable as everything coming out of their mouth. No more layoffs etc.

This will not work to keep current employees from their exit strategy. If Convatec has an exit strategy, so should we. We have the same employment at Will ability as you do. You can fire us for no reason and we can also quit.

Note to self, make sure you inform your RSM/AVP that you have another job offer so they can offer you stock options in the Brooklyn Bridge, OK done.

Seriously, the RSMs want you to tell them if you plan on looking for another job?

Since This is about the time of year when we normally see RSMs move accounts around so they are moved into a class of trade that they are not compensated for, or house account, this is what was just presented as a fix for those TMs and RSMs. There is a fix available to you...this is actually not a rumor. It went something like this.

So if you tell your RSM you are not happy because perhaps the new adjusted comp plan is hurting you, and this account or that account is significantly down for the year and you would like to see if she could maybe see if it would be removed or adjusted or, just help me out here.
Response " we are working on it.....Mr TM - name withheld as to not make this too cruel. Then also told the other TMs in same region to really scrub their COGNOS to find accounts to try to remove.

Now we know this is not new, and many clever people have made lots of money and awards via this process. But to actually discuss this with said Mr TM on a conference call and name the large acct they are working to "adjust" was pretty bold. The RSM not too bright but that's another story. This place is so full of fraud. Sad when a few people can only get ahead by cheating, and they are fine with it, really just fine with it.

Just like the New Patient Name Capture scan the Ostomy business unit has running. It's all a game and we really don't care what you do to get us names, just get us names and they don't actually really need to be from Ostomy patients.

I'm pretty sure they want us to talk to them first so that they can make of list of places that they can put their resumes in at well.

This is indeed true and the RSM involved would do anything to pull her region out of the tank and to prove herself. While she is a fairly new RSM, it makes you ask....where do we get these people and doesn't it require a certain skill set or experience to be in the RSM role? (The answer is apparently not).

To tell this complaining, but accomplished TM during a recent conference call, that you (RSM) are working the VP to try to help him out on with a specific large acute account in order to bring his numbers up so he can then qualify for his higher part 3 payout etc. Even naming the acute account for all to hear. Not, that is the right thing to do this anyway, but this does not create a level playing field and lets everyone know that if they are special enough, they too can have rules bent, and now opens the door up for an all out run by everyone to move accounts around and voila...at the end of the year all of a sudden, wow, the region is a winner, and so is said TM who they are obviously trying to pacify so he does not jump ship.

Not fair for people that actually work all their accounts and have to take the good and the bad. Completely destroys any level of trust that there was left. A comp plan means nothing when there are always exceptions, but it just depends on who you are and if moving some of your accounts around can help the RSM, then lets do it.

See below for quote from the above thread just shows how stupid this Reuters article is. Since ConvaTec likely is the source of their data, and we know how good they are with numbers, that can explain the obvious error. I remember very clearly the year of the sale of Convatec and it was NOT 2011 as the article states. Try 2008. It has been a very painful 6 years of slow death.

The article does not expand on the list of the other companies ConvaTec bought and at what price, but we could easily research that to show how upside down they really are and how much they would need to sell us for to make any money. Watch out for more cuts.

" Private equity firms Avista Capital Partners and Nordic Capital acquired ConvaTec from Bristol-Myers Squibb Co in 2011 for $4.1 billion. 3M was one of the contenders for ConvaTec at the time, according to people familiar with the matter."

You are correct. And there is nobody left "familiar with the matter" not even the buffoons currently running the show. The reality is that Convatec is no longer a medical device concern, but rather a investment play being poorly manipulated by a bunch of greedy, (and not very sophisticated) Venture Capitalists. These guys would fire their mothers to improve EBITA. BTW the last group headed by DJ were no better than the current group. Good luck to you all. It's as bad as at gets so get out with whatever little sanity you may have left.

Trying to clarify this. Are you saying your RSM ( a she) along with the VP, are saying they are going to move a large acute account out of one of your co-worker's run, or some how shelter him in order to bump up his numbers? Reading between the lines this sounds like an Ostomy region which is hurting, so must be someone actually close to making their part 1 numbers. That narrows it down quite a bit as not many TMs were making their numbers and now looking at how they would want to protect those left. Should be easy to id the TM as several of the other valuable, long standing Ostomy TMs already left this year (CA, AL, SH). Everyone can be replaced and if you think you cannot, look around.

No matter, certainly not the first time the RSMs have played a shell game to move numbers. Difference is that this year there is so much bleeding and the company is so desperate to inflate their numbers it would be a stupid move to approve these "adjustments". If a TM is unhappy, join the club. Either swallow it or leave like all the other good TMs are doing or have done.

I tend to believe this post is true. I do not think anyone would bother to make this up. My initial opinion would be that this RSM should be removed from the company immediately. This is just so wrong and unethical, and with the current state of ConvaTec for sale, not what you want "out there" as far as the type of company you are. Upon reflection, probably a perfect representation of what type of behavior ConvaTec has created in their management team, but that is why we have such a horrible "word on street" reputation".

I assume the RSM's identity can be determined and she is shown the door and not just a slap on the hand. If they have done this out in the open, we can be sure there is much more dirt. What a complete joke.

I believe I was able to follow the post, or the response to it. Not that difficult, but perhaps I missed something. The response was YES. Involved a little more reading than some prefer.
