The layoffs are over in Memphis, at least for this year. R&D had 8 people laid off today.

 

So distribution level is safe? This has been so stressful just watching and waiting as volume dwindles down. On pins and needles not knowing!

 

Not sure about Swinnea, just Pyramid Place.

No announcements have been made about specifics, which makes me think this layoff is unrelated to the corporate level initiative. The time table is for it to be completed by 2022, with over a billion dollars set aside for severance. Those numbers suggest that what is coming will make what happened yesterday look like a small tweak.

 

As the dust settles, the impact is starting to become more clear. About 20 from Clinical, 8 R&D, 4 Regulatory, and a couple from Interventional.

Its ironic when bad performance happen due to poor leadership the engineers get cut while the r&d leader will be rewarded with bigger bonus
