Who knows? We don’t even have our comp plan yet and it is almost April. Excuses, excuses, excuses. I wonder how well our excuses relating to Quick Base would go over with them? I bet they still except us to make our over inflated quotas but we are almost in the 4th month of the year and still no comp plan. The Chronic Wound Reps have it the worst and are being held to the same expectations as surgical reps. We ALL know Surgical is much easier to sell. So half of us have the easy route and the rest of us have to work a thousand times harder and drive a thousand miles further to get results. Fuck that!! I do not get paid enough to do all that. Convatec needs to learn that if you treat your employees well they work harder for you. When you treat them like shit then no one cares to go out of their way when they are treated badly.

Isn’t it interesting that the company’s was able to hire McKinsey to consult to the tune of $70M to review Convatec’s procedures/policies but was unable to pay its own employees a bonus.....

Its' like private equity all over again. When we gonna learn about making good investments and stop paying big management salaries on people who should be gone and still hanging around.

Here lies the problem in a nutshell. Convatec keeps wasting millions on the wrong things instead of where the money is really needed. Convatec continues to treat their most valuable assets like garbage. Not only do reps make a shitty base salary there is not a shot in hell to make comp this year. Setting us all up for failure. We don’t get paid enough to take on the level of work expected of us. Do not even get me started on the extra travel. Here is a clue if you want to actually close business stop hiring inexperienced 20 year olds that have no idea what consultative selling is. You need experienced reps that have a proven track record of closing business.. oh wait but Convatec has let all of those good reps leave because they were unwilling to pay them a measly 10k more a year but instead wasted 70 million on outside consultants and hiring 200 More useless ATM’s. I have had the opportunity to work with a few ATM’s and I would not trust them running my business. Yes they are young but also very inexperienced.

I think the whole upper management team needs to go. Including George Poole. They simply do no get it. Manage down instead of managing up. Instead of making decisions behind closed doors actually reach out to those in the field to see what is really needed. The past year and a half has been a waste of time. No one in upper management has a clue and on the wrong path. Inexperienced idiots!

Leadership only hold the sales team accountable for growing profits and never themselves. Nothing is ever good enough. Working here has started to feel akin to an abusive relationship. We get beat down on every war room call and told we are STILL NOT doing enough. It is never enough. Meanwhile we are out here killing ourselves driving an extra 6 hours to our new territory to accounts we don’t know. Is this the purpose of War Room? To belittle and break us down so that we quit? It has been a very negative and useless experience. What is the point? It is time that leadership takes full responsibility for their own mistakes and stop putting it on the sales team. Dear new CEO the best thing that you can do when you come on board is to CLEAN HOUSE. This leadership team is clueless and inexperienced. Hire a team that actually gets it. Get rid of these rejects!

Maybe the 20-year-olds are willing to make some new calls instead of waiting for their silver platter to come to them?

This must be GP or some other idiot on the leadership team. It shows everyday how little you value your most skilled reps. Reps that have gone to President’s club year after year. It is almost as if GP is obsessed with “younger” reps. He has made several inappropriate comments relating to age in front of large groups of people that really is an HR and legal issue. When you make others uncomfortable with your crazy man statements it is an issue. Hey dumbo, these young reps don’t know shit. Trust me when I tell you that they will not help save this sinking ship . You need your tenured, experienced reps like your life depends on it. Trust me. Ageism is a form of discrimination so I would stop discussing your obsession with “young” reps so publicly. It is so obvious you think things would be better if all of the old time reps left. It is despicable and disgraceful character. We work our butts off and do not expect anything on a silver platter. Thank you for proving once again your lack of appreciation for those that have been here to close some of the biggest deals this company has seen. Respect and value your people you troll. Btw has anyone seen or heard from GP lately? Why don’t you actually do your job!! It makes most if us not want even try to work hard for a leadership team that has zero appreciation for their most tenured and skilled reps. Half of the company has left and more are leaving soon. At what point will you step back and realize that maybe you all are doing a horrible job running this once great company.

All kidding aside and finger pointing the bottom line is that this company is trending far in the wrong direction. There has not been anyone of any understanding of this industry at the helm for the past 5 years. Directly in the leadership circle has been a bunch tenured ConvaTec peeps who have not adapted the changes and competition that has occurred in wound care. These people rely on the douderm, Aquacel and Flexiseal years when we had differentiated products. ConvaTec did not have to sell too much because the products were gold standards and sold themselves. All these tenured people have not adapted and all they care about is their high salary. They either have a security blanket relationship or continue to kiss ass and hide thier imcompetency.

Yes tenured reps do have value and are useful especually in this commodity market. But they have not changed with the market either. Many have high salaries and do the minimum, stay under the radar. They are in the trenches, bitch and have solutions but the circle doesnt listen. Thus the dog continues to chase his tail.

Look at the Q1 earnings report, comments and solutions. Then ask yourself why did Anderson purchase a large share of stock last Thursday? Was it to prevent the continuous slide of stock price before the earnings report or was insight knowledge that we are going to be bought?

Do your self a favor google Q1 ConvaTec reports. Also google ConvaTec buyout.

There’s no chance in saving this company. Anderson purchased 55,000 shares of stock on Thursday. This was either to temporary stop the slide in price and soften the blow to our Q1 report on Friday. Or there’s going to be a buyout in the horizon. We can not continue to lose money quarter after quarter.

This ill equip team has driven the company to the bottom. Let’s not forget that People like Christian Hangard, Ken Donlon, Chuck Ciminara, Rebeca, Wayne and others don’t know the this business, how to do business or how to lead others. Not a peep from these people with an update on what they are working on. Pocketing our hard earned money. This last year alone has driving the company to its knees on their watches and they are sit in Bridgewater doing nothing ordering another round of consultants to tell them what’s the problem vs asking us or better yet go out and meet with clients directly and find out why they don’t want to work with Convatec. How about you Fire the worst VP team in history of Convatec in bridgewater (that way you keep the consultants can’t have both) and Get Corp accounts men and contracts team to start working for us.

Love the comment of the US accounting debacle leading to 8 + million dollars in rebates. Deeside continues to blame the US but the US market is the leading revenue generator for the company. When is Deeside going to realize this?

I can not believe that this group believes that we will hit our projected guidance. The transformation project and surgical sales specialist program in the US is not the solution. Hiring a new CEO who does not start till September is not a solution. Ask your self why is he starting at the end of Q3?

As for corporate contract people, they are as useless as this leadership team. Do nothing, say nothing and are not accountable. They are the reason for this rebate debacle. See any of thier heads roll?

But we are increasing our Activity Calls!! It’s the only thing they can track and grab on too. The sad fact is the leadership believes this will drive business.

Are you kidding me? Once again, this must Be GP. Trnured employee’s haven’t changes with the market? Hahahahahha!! Is this what you really believe? Wow. You assume that all tenured sales employee’s are useless when in reality they are who are making President’s club year after year. The ageism this compang has started to practice in the past year is blantantly obvious and fucking despicable. You want to insult the same reps that have made this company money year after year. It is not their fault that a talentless , idiotic leaders are in place. You all really think hiring young reps will solve all your problems? Wake the fuck up! You all ned to go back business school. Oh and as far as the security blanket salaries for tenured reps hahahahahahahahhahah!!! What a joke. Once again, are you fucking kidding me? Some of the tenured reps make less salaries than reps who started 5 years ago. You forget Convatec pays low salaries. So many “tenured” reps that you claim make so much money barely made 75k after 14 years. Be prepared for some lawsuits. Ageism is illegal. Hiding on an anonymous board making these comments does not make it any less illegal. I encourage anyone who feels this directly to reach out to an employment and discrimination lawyer. Enough is enough.

Which tenured people are you referring too? Not a single leadership team has lasted for more than 3 years. Who are you talking about. It is all these idiotic morons from Covidian on the CURRENT leadership team that are the reason this company is failing worse than I have ever seen it. They all need to quit.

Have you had a chance to work with these younger reps? The lack of Business Acumen alone is astounding. Let’s face it, we don’t even have a proper training program that will teach or change that. The ATM in my territory was like a giggling teenager and behaved inappropriately. He did not know one thing about our products and he had just returned from boot camp. I was shocked. It was in that moment that I realized just how misinformed and stupid the current leadership team is. These ATM’s will not be taken serious by customers with behavior like that . They will not respect or do business with a kid that has no clue about product knowledge. I urge leadership to do some ride alongs with these reps. You will QUICKLY see what I mean.
