Ok, it has been six weeks and no word. You know you would think with all the money that we made URL (Roberts et.al.) and Quintiles that the least they could do would be humane enough to go ahead and give us our end date. Is their any manager out there at this meeting that will "man up" and let us know what is going on. We know we are finished but to keep dragging us and our families along indefinitely is inhumane to say the least.

We have worked our butts off on this contract from day one and we grew this drug from nothing to $430 plus M. URL and Quintiles has made allot of money on our backs, and some representatives have made good money, but the show is over. We all know this will be Takedas baby pretty soon, and they will control the whole gout market. They will have Allopurinol, Uloric and Colcrys. Yes URL makes Allopurinol in their generic division (check the URL website for verification) (URL - generic division - products - allopurinol). So come on guy's be humane and someone be man enough to tell us what is going on, and when our end date will be.

Evidently the managers are getting talking points at this meeting because almost all managers sent out a text today about "gout awareness", clingy posters, and such.. so come on guys send us a text telling us what is really going on. Please!!!

Friday June 1st. The announcement will be given to the URL salesforce. This is fact.

Correct June 1st. And at that point Quintiles will allow URL reps to apply for any openings within the company. Or possibly give reps 60 days of pay to find position. No new contracts have been mentioned. There is still hope for Takeda deciding to take on a few possibly on a contractual basis for areas they will need to fill, yet the truth is that several URL reps have already been hired in the past month working directly for Takeda. What contracts are open across the board with Quintiles? Pardue? J&J? What else???????? And what is the culture with those contracts?

So are you saying that we will be told June 1st or are you saying that June 1st is our last day, as many of us have suspected or both we will be told June 1st and June 1st will be our last day?

Dont you love those managers STILL playing the game? There's still hope they say!! Koudos to those managers helping their reps secure jobs, who really have their backs! That's a good manager! We aren't dumb! Why can't they show us respect?

These posts are stupid. URL & Quintiles don't owe us anything! They employed us for awhile. That is it. They don't have to tell us anything until they are ready. They don't owe us an explanation, extra bonus, severence. "We worked hard" "All the money we made them" So what, we're supposed to. Everything is speculation, not 'fact". Shut up ,stop with the entitlement attitude. Wait and see what happens! Be prepared!

Of course they don't 'owe' us anything. This is the real world, nothing is fair. The point is that as educated professionals, adults with responsibilities, we expect the same professionalism in return. A timeline where we can reasonably work on a job search and not turn into depressed, crazy people who can't do anything with our families without this indecision looming over our heads.

This isn't Walmart. They contract you for certain amount of time. They did not live up to the agreement or so it seems. So yeah they kind of owe us something. Otherwise why even bother with contracts all together and early termination clauses.

Quintiles signed a contract, we didn't. This isn't major league sports where they are responsible for our employment by a legal contract. Did they guarentee you three years or did the say "we hope it lasts three years"? So no, they kinda don't owe us anything. Their job is to make money, not to baby-sit us.

You will make a good English teacher. Give up business as a career. You can even show the principal where you corrected my spelling on CP.

They OWE us! Why? Let's review: how many ethics and "do the right thing" Learning Curve whoop dee doos have we done? We have to do them year after year (if you have worked over a year with Quintiles that is) so to preach to us about ethics and doing the right thing, then yes, the FUCKING owe us--the need to fess up. If we find out that the managers found out that June 1st it's over, and don't tell us, their tits or their balls should be removed.

So by your reasoning, because we do a learning loop on ethics they should pay us severence?

It is not an entitlement, the world is tough, they don't owe us anything but what they promised:temporary employment.

Grow up, suck it up and look for a job. Or someone to baby-sit you.

When they cut us loose there will be NO severance. I repeat, NO severance. You are all in the mighty quintiles dark. There is nothing promised in the way of severance. Look it up. Next friday last pay check.

Right, I think severence here means two addtional months of pay because the contract was cut short. Its rumour and they don't have to. They might.
