Looks like there are a lot of positions avail Rep, Kam, DM, Corp... how are the goals? Is this a good division to work in? what is it like to compete vs Agn

There are a lot of positions open because a lot of people are leaving. Galderma is not a bad place overall - but A/C division is not a good place to be right now.

A/C is one of the premier divisions. Drs want to see us and commission has high payout possibility if goals are met which can be a challenge.

People started leaving not only from the A/C division but now from other divisions as well, after SR moved people don't want to work with TZ.

The real reason people are leaving are as follows:
1, The once great culture of work hard get recognized and rewarded has been dead for about the last 3 to 4 years. Current Management in the US and abroad does not care about employees.
2, No real pipeline for Rx patent challenges and now a crazy acquisition of over a billion dollars for older A and C products that have to show a return on that investment within the next 3- 4 years. Yes the other posts about how the shareholder operates and puts out expectations is correct. You have to pay them back at an accelerated rate before you will earn any real commissions.
3, Based on the above facts it results in extremely high quotas that simply are not realistic for the average territory.
4, A quota system that actually punishes the higher volume territories and continues to do so. They call it contribution rate and it punishes high volume folks and stupidly rewards low volume territories. Notice how Hawaii for Pete's sake keeps winning year after year?
5, Incompetent middle management can you say Sellen, Curley, Lohse ? Really ? These are the people they decided to keep while others have been downsized or just flat out pushed out?
6, No vision for the future, no leadership, no innovation or new products that are developed here. Ivermeticin- Really? That has been in development for over 10 years just now coming to the surface - because they are getting desperate for some new products and it is critical due to all of the patent challenges. Smart ones have gotten out and or are getting out and now many are thriving at other Bio tech and other Derm companies.
7, A corrupt HR department. That flat out lies to employees being downsized or pushed out not to mention they will lie about you if you speak out as well. The biggest culprit is now taking space overseas. I am sure bringing her "magic " to big G on a corporate level.

8, Newer upper management in the US that do not know any dermatologist and do not have any presence at the key Dermatology meetings. No presence at the Fall clinical, no presence at the Winter Clinical. They will be at the AAD hoping the reps introduce them to some derms while showing the European guys how great our booth looks.
Is it really a wonder why the company continues to fall in IMS sales in the US and the only
new records achieved each year is new record highs for turnover? Not exactly a growth company if you look at it objectively. Not a fun place to try to grow a career either.

Well I don't know about that long monologue about the rx division. But the A&C division is crumbling. And yes, TZ's arrogance is a big part of the reason. But LATAM! Remember LATAM! Lol.

Crumbling? No such thing! We are actually expanding! But thanks for trying to be a Debbie Downer :)

    Nice Try,

Layoffs are pending and you know it. Also, the revenue expectations are already falling behind the acquisition forecast. Better get your resume ready or better start selling more and stop being so arrogant.

this qtr you are successful with this IC plan? are the goals fair? how many reps are there? how many reps made over 100% last qtr? these are the questions you should be asking yourself girlfriend.

Sir or madam, yes, I will make $ this qtr. We have 150+ reps and at least 35% made over 100% last qtr. I think the goals are fair, a stretch...but fair!

Based on your own math only approximately 1/3 of the reps achieved over goal performance. Therefore, the above poster is correct. The division is falling behind the Divisional goal and that will not be tolerated for the near term. You do not hit the profit goals they will layoff and or divest assets with this thing. The A & C team is the last chance and it is already falling behind. We need to sell more not just a third of the reps hitting a goal for a quarter.

Wow that's quite the effort . agree with some disagree with some . # 5 is on point , fearful people trying to hold on to days past . love to push down on those below , while 2 fearful to cross those above and just play the good company boy . a waste of space . get rid of those 3 for sure .

    # 8 disagree , who cares if upper managers know derms , not their job , their job is to lead , that thinking was killing G .

    # 4 , yes i think we all agree Hawaii winning everything is a total joke & F*$K up all the way around . they don't contribute zip to bottom line . Large volume territories get theirs , just look @ texas the reps aren't all that but they win every year . it's the mid volume territory with rep that has been there longer than 3 years that gets screwed over bad , no chance to succeed . if you have managed care issues forget it MC are the laziest people at G .

last , disagree about AC , I've meet plenty of them & think they bring a fresh new smell to what was becoming a stale company full of the texas based circle jerk boys from the home office ( see # 5 ) . bring on new peeps in leadership , the old guard were getting theirs at the expense of the many and running the comapny like a 3rd world banana republic .

Fire Curley , Lohose , Sellen they will all find work @ texas roadhouse or chillis lol .

    viva the change

I too have no clue why the RX reps are chiming in on the A/C Page. As for A/C we must call a spade a spade. Galderma has managed to ruin A/C as we know it. Aesthetics was a great place to work at Medicis and many people even made money at Valeant. Congrats Galderma- due to impossible goals and an absolutely sh!t IC plan that requires a pythagorean theorem to decipher= Major TURNOVER happening at EVERY position. Goal Attainment is at an all time low. Here is another 1st! You are launching a NEW INJECTABLE product in the US with a deflated and demotivated sales force. Great DMs, KAMs, and Experienced Reps are leaving (during a launch?) and will continue to leave in droves if you don't fix this and pay them! Allergan owns this market and pumps tons of money into DTC ads. Merz is the cheapest and blocks us with TONS of samples. We are just Galderma and have no real identity! Asp is a great program but it is a small piece of the puzzle. A consumer loyalty program will help to move and sell products, but do NOT think it will keep people from leaving. If you want to fix this and stop the bleeding.

    1. SET REALISTIC GOALS
    2. IC BONUS- You know, why we work! Make it simple pay per point- the NEW IC PLAN SUCKS!
    3. Incentivize Silk- 10X the points for a Silk order... this launch has been an embarrassment! If you want to know why sales are low= the price of the product is too high and there is very little incentive to sell a brand new product in terms of IC- WTF?

We don't need Leaders sending long negative emails or pointing fingers on who is to blame, we need Leaders to step up and make positive changes! If you do this, the sales force will be motivated, if not you will continue to see a mass exodus. People are working hard but there is a huge miss going on here- LEADERS WE ARE EAGER TO SEE HOW YOU HANDLE THIS! - The front line!

What leadership? we can argue about the utility of knowing derms or not knowing them and your point about leading? The fact is they do not know derms and they do not understand how to be successful in the space. Jonah knew the top A & C derms and top Rx derms and he leveraged that which benefited reps and Medicis. So the fact these guys do not know anybody nor are they capable of leveraging their positions to move business hurts everyone. Finally, read all of the posts from longer term employees about how they handle Acquisitions historically. They over paid for these assets and they have to payback that investment in a very short and unrealistic time frame. Your goals will not go down if anything they will continue to go up.

The company has been run by egotistical European elitist for years and has been and will continue to be in decline for the near and then the long term. That is why the smarter US employees are getting out. You cannot win long term with the current US and European management. Nothing has changed and less bonus than ever is being paid out. These are the facts.

I guess this answers the question why there is soo much turnover in A/C during a f'in NEW Product launch. I looked into a A/C job after yrs in RX. Stevie Wonder can see this IC plan sucks!
if this is not fixed ASAP there will be 30-80 openings by Q2. Best of luck to this division, I am so glad I didn't switch!
